Guys I’m so sorry lots of questions right now...

Has anyone been on contraceptives and got pregnant because it actually helped with the endo symptoms rather than work as it was meant too?

And if you did what was you taking?

Hi Kelly,

I'm Sorry but I've never heard of this happening. Most hormonal contraceptives; the pill, implant, injections, coil etc all have above 99% effectiveness in stopping pregnancy occurring. So I guess there is a remote chance, but it would be quite unlikely.

I wonder if there is another medication available that is a hormone that would help your endo but doesn't function as a contraceptive? maybe you could ask your doctor about that?

As a fellow endometriosis sufferer I feel complete empathy. I found managing my symptoms very difficult with TTC. Most of the options involved suppressing my cycles which wasn’t an option when TTC. For my periods I used transexamic acid & mefenanic acid which can reduce flow & pain- for my worst periods I used morphine (which wasn’t always effective! )

I found changing my diet helped a bit - I followed the anti inflammatory diet, I took bee propolis as it’s very healing & helpful for conceiving with endo, I used low dose aspirin to suppress it ( again it’s anti inflammatory) and lastly used a progesterone cream between days 8-26 of my cycle. Something worked as ( after my third surgery) I conceived my daughter soon after! I was very lucky the only issue was endometriosis.

I hope you find a way of managing symptoms that works for you endometriosis isn’t very nice xoxo
