Feeling a little down. This is my second fresh cycle, the first one was abandoned after during egg collection they suspected I ovulated early.
9 eggs were collected Wednesday, got a call Thursday morning to say 5 fertilised. A call this lunch time to say one hadn’t developed at all, the other last night looked like it had started to develop but had gone backwards by morning. So that leaves me with three. I was meant to find out the gradings but I was to upset I didn’t ask, all the nurse said is they were developing ok. She also said transfer is more then likely to be tomorrow not 5day, so that makes me feel even more the quality isn’t great. 🥺
Anyone else been in a similar situation and had a good outcome?
It is unlikely we will have any to freeze either, so this is our one nhs try before we have to look if we can afford to have a private round

I’m sorry you’re feeling down. I’ve not started my first cycle yet but I’ve seen lots of people on here be successful against the odds and don’t forget it only takes one!
Hey Rosie, sorry this has happened. I had my first cycle in feb got 7 eggs and nothing fertilised even with ICSI as my husband had to have sperm retrieval. Fast forward to this cycle I got 9 eggs and 6 have fertilised, just had my 3 day update and 5 are doing well so will have a 5 day transfer mon. Just wanted to share with u what was different- they increased my stimulation drugs to maximum dose, 2 trigger shots and a shot of buserelin. Also I took DHEA, myo inositol, ubiquinol, PQQ and N-acetyl cysteine plus pregnacare plus. I’m not saying the vitamins helped but I was told my egg quality was rubbish after the first round so it could have helped along with the drugs xx not sure if ur drugs have been changed at all?
Just remember not all will fertilise and it only takes one. My sister had 4 eggs retrieved with only 2 fertilising and had 2 embryos put in, both day 3 transfers and had twin girls so it can deffo work. Wishing you all the best xxxx 😘😘😘
