Post FET, BFP last week but...

Starsandsunbeams profile image

Hi,

so we got a BFP last week after our FET hoorah! But since then, I cannot relax and am constantly thinking about it all. There was a faint positive on the OTD on Tuesday (12dp5dt), then I tested Weds, Thurs and Friday, all with good positives. Thursday and Friday I had mild cramping. Saturday night I had lower back ache and then Sunday morning I felt nauseous. Today I feel nothing. I am so worried about what is going on with my body and concerned that now I have no symptoms, something bad has happened. Never been pregnant before, first BFP and no idea what's normal/not normal. I am also on cyclogest and Lubion injections. Would these prevent any bleeding if I was to miscarry?

Any advice, very welcome xx

Huge congratulations!! I haven’t got any advice but I think it must be natural to feel anxious and analyse every twinge. Try not to worry. Wishing you all the luck in the world xx

I’m right with you, and hoping it’s nothing to worry about. Some days cramp and some days nothing. Fingers crossed for us both! 🤞🏼

I'm so anxious about every cramp and twinge I feel. I'm just trying to take each day as it comes...it's really hard though and can totally relate to your fears 😥

Ditto! Got my BFP last Tuesday too. I’m thrilled, but so anxious. I feel like I’m not letting myself believe it. Feeling every twinge, spot, ache worries me into a right fret. Then worry more when feel nothing 🤪. Got everything crossed for us both, & all the amazing ladies going through it with us xx

Congrats on your BFP 😃 I never thought I'd quite feel like this and trying hard not to worry but I'm finding it really difficult. Have you done many HPTs since your BFP? I'm considering but don't know whether to xx

Oh crikey I’ve done loads! Did 2 on OTD, then 1 the next morning, then another 2 later in the week and more at the weekend. Just ordered 4 more from amazon due to arrive tomorrow! I do different brands to try cover all bases! It’s ridiculous but after everything we all go through seeing those 2 lines is the reward. But clinging on to the hope that it might work out this time is really difficult.

I was a bit neurotic earlier after some very slight spotting so emailed my clinic. Nurse phoned me back within a couple of hours to reassure me. I think it’s always worth giving them a call if you are concerned.

Xx

I'm sorry to say that you might feel like this for a lot of the pregnancy. I certainly did after my successful FET. It didn't help that I spotted at about 6 weeks.

Just hold on to the positive thoughts. You got your BFP. Soon you'll have your viability scan and seeing a heartbeat is so reassuring. After that you getting the dating Scan and hopefully your nerves will settle. Then you get the kicks and the next scan and it all starts to feel so much more real.

Try not to worry about symptoms. And pain can be a good sign, such as roound ligament pains... the uterus stretching.

For me I did eventually start enjoying being pregnant after the dating Scan. But until I held my newborn in my arms, I never truly relaxed.

I hope it all works out for you. You got this far. Keep the faith!

Congratulations! I had a 5day blastocyst fresh transfer and got my first BFP! I have been the same worrying all the time because of lack of symptoms. I don’t think there has been a day so far that’s ive actually felt pregnant. I’m now 10+1 and everything is going perfectly. Please don’t worry about lack of symptoms everyone’s pregnancy is different xx

No advice as I’ve never been pregnant but Just wanted to say congratulations 😊 I think I will be exactly the same if I am ever lucky enough to see a BFP. As long as you look after yourself there is absolutely nothing more you can do Xx

Your body goes through all the motions whilst in the early stages of pregnancy remember it’s all stretching making room for that beautiful baby that’s on its way .I can’t tell you if it’s side affects from your treatment but just to assure you to try and relax and let your body do what it’s got to do in preparation for the coming months .Im keeping everything crossed that all your symptoms are just normal everyday cramps at the early stages of pregnancy and I wish you every luck in the world and a big congratulations from me xx take care on your magical journey into motherhood 🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞 x

I dont think any of us can be prepared for how it feels to get a BFP after wanting to see those lines so bad. My anxiety was through the roof and just couldnt settle. I really hope the cramps that you have had are just your little one getting comfy!xx
