Finally some thyroid help!

After lots of visits to the GP, today I finally saw one who has been helpful! She has increased my thyroxine dose and arranged for my thyroid to be monitored closely throughout this pregnancy. It feels great to finally have a dr take this seriously, what a positive day! Feeling a little more relaxed about the pregnancy now that one of my worries is being dealt with properly 😁

Yaaay so happy for you I find it sad that a woman has to go through so much just to get pregnant and it seems sometimes it’s only when us women manage to conceive that people/professionals actually sit up and listen to what we are telling them we know our bodies better than anyone else and I’m so happy your gonna receive the care and attention you deserve onwards and upwards for ya now wear that bump with pride and take care 🥰🥰🥰 here hoping for you from me that today and every other day of your journey is a positive one xx

Great news! This infertility has taught me that we need to be our own advocates so I’m pleased they listened to you!

I’ve learned to be assertive, as they like to throw obstacles in the way. My GP receptionist was telling me it would be a month to see a Dr because they were so busy and my thyroid was only a wee bit high.

I just wouldn’t accept no, told them I was leaving in a letter from my clinic at reception and I’d be back in 3 days to collect the prescription. I didn’t even see my GP, just steam rolled them into giving me the drugs 😂 x

I guess it seems even longer because you tested early - one way or another there's no way around the torturous waiting!!!

I know this feeling!! This is great news. This is so so important. My endocrinologist is amazing and I am now on touch with him via email every 2 weeks and he was so so supportive and responsive during my IVF cycle it made such a difference mentally for me!
