Donor Sperm Abroad

Wondering if any one can advise? My OH has very bad sperm parameters all round, resulting in 4 failed IVF (ICSI) cycles and basically we have to go down sperm donor route.

Problem is, my OH is not happy with random donors. He would like to see at minimum photos of donors etc...

Another problem we are finding, cause we are both deep tanned, dark hair and dark brown eyes it is very hard to find even a close match.

Does anyone know if going abroad give us an opportunity to see or meet donors? We were thinking of Spain, Italy, Cyprus, Greece etc...

Any advise would be much appreciated!!

We once looked into donor sperm abroad and there are clinics that allow you to see pictures and even videos of donors. I’m not sure if there are clinics that would allow you to meet donors but there might be.

Denmark have some of the biggest sperm banks. It’s worth looking there too. Good luck!

Myself I know a few ladies who have been happy with Invicta clinics from Poland. You might mail them to find out more. From what I know they respond very quickly. Hope this helps.

I know that the European Sperm Bank do have photographs of their donors as babies. All the UK ones have very detailed descriptions about the donors but no pictures.

I believe the American sperm banks do pictures too. All of this is just our personal experience...although strangely we were put off a bit by looking at the donor baby pictures, our personal choice but we thought it was a bit strange knowing what they looked like and thought we would be looking for similarities to that picture when we had a baby.

Good luck with the choosing xx

We had our last failed cycle in January and we are both now feeling so hurt and desperately want to be a family.

We spoke about adoption but I just have this enormous feeling of wanting to be pregnant and to experience giving birth.

So we decided to try sperm donor and now we are just feeling confused and don’t where to start!

OH does not want anyone to know that we are planning to use donor sperm and so he is really wants to see adult pics and to see full profile.

Appreciating all the advice. Thank you 😊
