First day injections and bank hol wknd

Hi everyone,

Just a quick question i am due to start long protocol ivf and was waiting for my period to arrive to start my down reg injections. Well it arrived today. The clinic said to ring them when i start but typically its good Friday today and i dont think anyone is there (i have tried ringing) i know there is an on call nurse but I'm guessing it can wait until next week and it is just to let them know so they can plan scans and things?

Hey Rose. Yep that's pretty much it. With us they booked us in for our consent paperwork and they booked our scans that day. Started down reg on day 21 of my cycle 😊 xx

Thanks for you reply. I have done all that, they said to start injections on the first day of period so i will be starting today, just wasn't sure whether they needed to know as soon as i start or whether its ok to wait until the end of the bank holiday 😊

That was it with me, they said if it was weekend just ring and leave a message and they will get back but start with the meds. If you’re unsure though I’d just speak to the oncall nurse xx

Great, thank you! They did say if its the wknd just to start and wait until Monday but typically it happened at the start of a long wknd 😂. I will leave a message i think 😊

Yes its just to tell you when to start your meds (usually day 21 for long protocol) and to let them plan your scans so shouldnt be a problem.xx
