Hi, I wondered if anyone could help please? I’ve been taking a few extra supplements this cycle to try to improve response to stimulation and egg/ embryo quality. Had ET yesterday and not sure if I should now continue with Ulbiquinol and Macca during the 2ww??
Not able to ask my clinic as they are not willing to consider use of any additional supplements (even after 2 prev cycles with poor response to stimulation, poor embryo quality and being lucky to even get to transfer each time but told less than 5% chance of pregnancy!).
Has anyone looked into this or been advised by their clinic please? xx

I would not use any of those after ET. Ubiquinol is beneficial during the stimms and maca is good for hormone balance but it has also effect on the immune system so would probably leave it out. Good luck xxx
Hi, my clinic also do not support my use of any supplements except folic acid & multi vitamin. Am starting new cycle in the next couple of months. Did ubiquinol help this time, did you get better quality ? More eggs?
First cycle got 8 eggs, 2nd one only got 5, this time got 9. I’d been taking ulbiquinol for about 4/5 months (standard CoQ10 for a few months before that) and also dhea for about 8 weeks.
Have no idea whether either/ both actually made a difference, but we did end up with one good quality day 3 embryo and one just slightly behind. This was the best we’ve managed by quite a way- never managed to get a good quality one before. Those two were clearly the front runners so were both put back on day 3 and I’m currently in the 2ww. None of our others made it to Blastocysts 😢 but they did progress further than previous cycles.
If we have to do another cycle I’ll use both again, but hoping and praying that one or both of those transferred this cycle take 🙏🏻 🙏🏻
I initially took 200mg of Ulbiquinol per day, then increased to 300mg and wish I’d done that for longer. DHEA is usually recommended at 25mg 3x daily, but you really should be tested prior/ monitored (I was naughty as desperate 😬)
