After brown spotting and cramping and crying.....

....today on 10dp5dt, I came home from work and tested. It’s positive! I’m in shock! I’ve never had a BFP in my life! I started trying for a baby 5 years ago. This is our 7th embryo. It’s our third cycle. Even with cramps, twinges, brown spotting, it can still happen - the double lines! I cried with happiness xxx

Some clinics scan once at 7 weeks, mine scans twice at 6 and 8 weeks.

Yes, we know so much about the process of ivf and conceiving and then suddenly a whole new, unknown chapter opens up. X

Oh I’m absolutely made up for you! Congratulations! By the way, I also had cramping and spotting before my BFP.

If you are using pessaries, these can cause spotting just so you are aware and don’t panic too much if you get more.

1st scan. My clinic actually dont do another one, if everything is fine at the first scan tehybrelease you from the clinic onto your GP and a midwife! Which means I wont get another scan until week 10 or 11 unless I pay privately...which I might have to do! On my OTD at 14dpt I was exactly 4 weeks xxx

I used lubion twice before. I didn’t do anything different apart from enjoying the 2ww more - I booked the whole 2ww off and spent a week with my parents here doing nice things so was more distracted and relaxed than normal. Had a brand new lady do my scratch and a brand new doctor do my transfer?! X

I’m 9+6 - first BFP in 5yrs of trying and one previous cycle. I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw that magic second line appearing! Never thought it could happen and imagine you’re feeling absolutely bowled over!
