Anyone had nothing at 7 week ivf scan and had success stories - after our fourth attempt to get a positive and then nothing at the scan is utterely heartbreaking - but another scan arranged for Monday - should I hold any hope?

I’m so sorry to hear this I have experienced this and unfortunately it was a pregnancy of an unknown location (ectopic they can’t actually see) did they take your bloods? X

Thanks for the reply - no they didn’t take any bloods from my partner but confirmed it was too early to confirm reasons. However they found something very small which flickered however told us to think of the worst case scenario (very direct) and arranged a further scan for Monday coming to give us a more thorough outcome - such a challenging time and was so excited this time around about the 4th attempt. Trying to find some positives and ensuring I’m there for my partner x

Oh wow so that would be a heartbeat if the screen was flickering I have been through 3 losses before having our little Miracle thanks to Ivf and the NHS and each time prior every time nothing in scan wat so ever 😢 if they were worried they would have checked hcg levels (blood) and repeated in 48 hours at 7 weeks if measuring small they have to have give you worst case unfortunately. Just be strong for your wife and I pray on Monday the scan does well x

it was heartbreaking to see nothing aside from they could see something however nothing to what they should be seeing at 7 weeks after 10 mins which felt like eternity - felt like our world had come to a crushing halt - taken a few days off work to focus on her wellbeing as that’s my priority as the huge effort women have to go thorough mentally and physically is overwhelming
