Hi ladies, had our seven week scan today. I’d been quite nervous as I was worried that my symptoms hadn’t been strong enough (ie no vomiting!) but loads of fatigue, bloating, breast changes & nausea (that feels like a hangover?!- obviously not on the booze!).
We got really good feedback, the size is spot on average, and the heartbeat was really strong & clear. Could see the amniotic sac lining & the yolk sac too.
Now just letting time pass and hoping things go smoothly until our 12 week scan 🙏
Nice to see so many happy announcements today. I wanted to post this as I found it really helpful to look back at other people’s 7 week scan posts to get an idea of what things might be like for me. As always, sending much love to you all, whatever stage you’re at in this fertility journey xxxx

Thanks so much Christine - and good luck to you for next week 🙏 - it truly is nerve wracking isn’t it?! I didn’t expect to have this feeling again after having the 2ww - it seems to be a serious of various ‘ww’s’ on this whole journey (but in a good way once you get there! 😅) xx
I remember my 7 week scan and it was so scary.... the time really does fly which I know sounds cliche but your 12 weeks scan will be here in a blink take care xxxxx
Oh I so hope the wait is fast for me too - 5 weeks feels ages away right now! But I do have a holiday half way through which will def help break up the time! Xx
We had it on 1st March (6+2) as we were going on holiday on the 3rd..
I was convinced things had stopped due to pains at 5 weeks and feeling ‘different’, but sure enough, there it was..strong heartbeat, measuring slightly smaller at 6 weeks, but they weren’t too concerned
The next evening, I had some brown spotting and that went on for a couple of days, but fingers crossed..it’s settled down! Every day is a worry!!
I know what you mean on the constant vigilance. Never want to count my chickens with this but at the same time trying to appreciate & enjoy this special time and hope it continues.
So pleased for you & your scan results. Look forward to hearing how you get on & hope things continue to be positive! Xx
Congrats on the scan, another hurdle smashed 🙌🏻 I also had no morning sickness with my son or this pregnancy ( my daughter). In fact I’ve had increased appetite with her! Not all women will get morning sickness, count yourself as one of the lucky ones 🙂 there are enough other symptoms like extreme tiredness that knock us off our feet 🤣 symptoms do come & go this is normal ( try not worry easier said than done) It’s nice to see successful stories here it helps others have hope 😍 wishing you the best with your pregnancy xoxo
Thanks so much Jess - so reassuring to hear from other people who aren’t having sickness! Yep - the tiredness is definitely the big one for me, it gets to lunchtime and I’m ready for bed! 😂 xxx
It’s so lovely to read these messages and congratulations to all. I have my scan next week and I’m so nervous. I’m spent all morning trying to book a private one but as there was no availability I’ve decided I should just be patient. Good luck to you all ladies xx
Oh that’s great - good luck for next week! Probably a good thing that you can’t have an extra earlier scan - I have a friend who did that and as it was so early, they couldn’t see much and was then really stressed ahead of her ‘proper’ scan. The waiting is not easy at all though! 🙈 xx
Lovely post to read congratulations 💕 I have my scan two weeks tomorrow and I’m already nervous! I don’t think we ever stop worrying! I’m praying I have a great scan like yours xx
