Negative pregnancy test after OTD BFP

On 20th Feb I got my BFP - it was a bit of a surprise because I’d been bleeding like AF and I was expecting the worse. I couldn’t have been happier! Yesterday at 5.5 weeks I did a clearblue test at home and it came back negative The clinic are bringing me in to do another blood test and early scan tomorrow. I’m trying not to worry about it too much but pretty sure that this means I’ve had a chemical pregnancy. Anyone else had this happen to them and still been pregnant?

Hi, sorry to hear this. I also had a chemical pregnancy about a year ago and it totally sucks. I hope your clear blue is wrong and your beta comes back positive x

Thanks for all of your well wishes. Unfortunately it wasn’t to be this time and it was a chemical pregnancy. I’m very upset but fortunate enough to have 4 frozen embryos so hoping to try again soon
