Hi has anyone had any cysts by there ovaries? Iv just been told I have 2 cysts by my ovaries. My doctor has referred me back to gyne and suggests I have them removed. Does anyone know if when I have them removed will this help me to convieve easier? Only as I’m struggling very bad with not being able to conceive, I have been denied nhs Ivf and I can’t affoed to pay privately unfortunately. We tried appealing with the help from our local MP but unfortunately she doesn’t know how to help me and my appeal got rejected. I hope eveyone is doing well! Spreading baby dust to you all

Sorry I can’t really advise but I would have thought that having them removed would definitely be worth a shot. Good luck xx

Hi Lissalou

I just want to share my experience of ovarian cysts. I have had 2 fresh cycles and one frozen cycle. After my last cycle I got scanned in September 2018 where they spotted 2 ovarian cyst on my left ovary and 1 right side endrometrioma. The endrometrioma has been there for a long time and can only be removed by surgery. Surgery is not recommended because it might remove ovarian tissue and I already have low ovarian reserves. I scanned again in Jan 2019 and in Feb and cysts on the left ovaries have budged. My clinic just expects me to wait for the cysts to move by themselves. This could take a couple of months or more. I am feeling very frustrated because there is nothing I can do about these bloody cysts! I am desperate to start ivf again but can't. Having cysts has really made me hate My body for not working properly.

Hi rainbowhope, thank you for your reply, I went for my ultrasound scan on feb 14th 2019 they found one large cyst by my right ovary and then a smaller one by my left ovary, my doctor has referred me back to gynae to have them removed as the cysts are making me feel sick, giving me back ache constant stomach pains. I’m hoping that they will remove both of them rather than just the one. I have got another ultrasound scan tomorrow as my doctor requested an urgent ultrasound scan for some reason. I have tried antibiotics but that didn’t clear my cysts up. Another thing I’m experiencing is really bad painful heavy peiords, my doctor used to give me pain killers for this but now he doesn’t want to give them to me any more as he said the tablets are masking the problem rather then helping the problem. Any advice on what pain killers I could take? Ibroburopen don’t work for me unfortunately and I’m allergic to paracetamol, the doctor has told me I will have to wait to see gynaecology and they will decided the best course of action but when I’m on my period I can’t stop crying I can’t sleep because the pain is so bad. Sorry about the long reply I hope your ok x
