I am going through my first FET cycle and had my prostap injection 3 weeks ago. I was to go back again today as the lining after 2 weeks wasn’t thin enough.
I’ve gone back today (3 weeks since injection) and it’s a tad THICKER with a follicle growing above 6mm which they tell me shouldn’t happen obviously after the down reg injection.
They took bloods and I’ve to go back in a week to see what’s happening. Feeling very deflated and wondering if this is ever going to happen😫
Sorry for the moan as I know we’re all in a similar boat💝
Has anyone experienced anything similar and was it fixable? In my head I’ve now convinced myself my wee Frosties in the freezer will never be able to be used😩

Hi I’m kind of in a similar position. I started buserelin on day 19 of my last cycle, was a short cycle so advised to start early. Had my period, went for down reg scan, lining still thick, continued buserelin and had 2 further scans and my lining remained at 7.2mm. My cycle was cancelled and I’m waiting on a period. They want to scan me after my period for a plan what to do next, maybe, hopefully start again. I had a mmc in November and I’m hoping it’s nothing left over from that. I had a large follicle too but my bloods showed I was down regulated so I have no idea!
Totally understand and feel your frustrations though! My fresh cycle was all very straightforward and I expected this would be easier, I too feel like I’m in limbo and my poor Frosties are just sat waiting for me! X
Aw it’s so frustrating isn’t it! Just got the call that my oestrogen level is 176 and should be below 150, so to go back again next Tuesday for a further scan, lining is currently 5.2mm.
It’s all the delays that really cause so much frustration😆
Wishing you lots of luck for the next part of your journey xxx💜
5.2mm is so close! Mine was 4.98 at down reg scan on my fresh round so I only just made it! I think my E2 level was 178. Good luck, hopefully you will get some answers. I’m impatient at the best of times so all this waiting is killing me!! X
I felt like I had delays throughout my whole ivf process. Firstly even having to have my eggs frozen and not having a fresh transfer days after collection (due to ohss) and then I had issues with my lining not being thick enough.
We got there in the end and you will too! 💗 I know it doesn’t feel that way now but the hospital need to get everything just perfect to give you the best possible chance.
Thanks so much for the reply. Our cycle was postponed due to OHSS too. Seems like never ending delays. Thanks for your positive story, it definitely gives me hope 💗 hope you’re keeping well xxx
