Hi I am hoping someone can help? I started buserlin injection this morning. I am not sure what will happen next or what it is doing? The clinic just said they are adding it to the treatment and I should get a period in the 7th February? Is this right? I am really confused? When I do get a period is the next steps the same treatment without buserlin? She just said it will be bringing on my menopause?? I’m worried now as I have no idea what to expect or when the effects start to kick in?

What happens now?
Emma, please don’t worry. Ask them for a copy of the protocol, presumably it’s the long protocol you are on? Your period will arrive and you continue to take your buserelin at the same time each day. Ask the nurse when you will need to arrange a scan for and get that booked in. This will be your baseline scan to check if you are ready for the next stage. If everything looks hunky dory, they’ll let you know that you are ready to start your stimulation injections. These help your follicles to grow. They will then scan you in 5 days time to see how you are responding. After that they may increase the frequency of your scans to every 2-3-days to see how they are growing. Your follicles need to be at about 18mm ready for collection. Most ladies will probably achieve that in about 12/13 days of stimulation, for me it was 18 days. Any questions you are best to phone your clinic or pop in if that’s easier. Any questions the administrator of this group Diane is a nurse so she will be able to advise. Good luck lovely Xx
