IVF#1 - first monitoring scan done 😊

Hi All. Just a quick one, mainly to give reassurance to others in the future. I had my first monitoring scan today, short protocol, cycle day 8, day 7 of stims (Gonal-F 225 + Cetrotide). Had been getting quite anxious because I was feeling nothing; no bloating, hardly any pain in my ovaries, and I was sure I should be more uncomfortable by now! Scan showed at least 20 follicles, all a good size, so everything is going as it should. So relieved, I was convinced it wasn't working! Going to make the most of feeling OK now because I'm sure it won't last long 🙈 Hopefully looking at EC early next week.

Thank you - trying to stay realistic and not get hopes up too much, but we are so pleased and relieved. It feels like the first good news we've had since we started trying. I hope you're doing OK - I don't post very often but see your support for others and its so inspirational when you have had so much to cope with. X

I think trying to be realistic is the best thing you can do, one hurdle at a time! Ahhhh thank you.😊 I'm hoping to transfer next week again but have another scan on Wed to confirm!🤞xx

That's so great you're not uncomfortable - I had a similar number and couldn't stand even anything with an elastic waistband pressing on my abdomen at around day 7 or 8 of stims!! We got 9 mature eggs and 5 blastocysts. Hope everything continues to go smoothly (and comfortably!!) and all the best for EC and transfer xxx

Thats lovely .. mine are slowly growing around 6-7 on right and very shy growing left ovary they have increased my dose slowly to 300 Gonal F And Cetrotide my EC is on Friday in 3 days .. all the best to both of us. Thankfully I am relaxed and take each day as it goes good luck to you hope everything goes very well for you
