Sweetie firstly is there just a little? Are you sore? I’m not going to say don’t panic because you will but try and lie down and rest. I know this will be hard on Xmas eve xxx

It will always be a worry bleeding during pregnancy but some women just do. It could be nothing, try to take it easy. Are you on the pessaries? sometimes they can cause bleeding cause they irritate the cervix. Xx

Lisaworthy1981 profile image
Lisaworthy1981 in reply toStrawberrychaos

Yeah I’m on the pessaries but using them the other way 🙈! Xx

Strawberrychaos profile image
Strawberrychaos in reply toLisaworthy1981

Ah ok, don’t worry I used them that way too. It still may be normal I know a few women on here have had bleeding on and off through their pregnancies and it’s all been fine. Obviously if it does get worse or you have a lot of pain with it then it’s best to contact the out of hours. I hope it’s just a blip hun xx

Lisaworthy1981 profile image
Lisaworthy1981 in reply toStrawberrychaos

Thank you! No pain atm and nothing on the pad I’ve put on so fingers crossed xxx

Oh I know how scary that is but please try not to think the worst. I have had spotting (pink and brown) on and off since my BFP.

Are you in any pain at all? If you are not in any pain and your getting less than a light period then from what I know, this isn’t always an issue.

Have you got an out of hours number you can ring? Xx

Lisaworthy1981 profile image
Lisaworthy1981 in reply tokirstyblue

Thank you! I had this in my tww too but it soon went!

No, no pain and I’ve put a pad on and there’s nothing on it and hardly anything now when I go to the loo to check 🙈

We’ll see what tonight brings xxx

kirstyblue in reply toLisaworthy1981

If it’s pretty much stopped it that sounds reassuring. I’ve had this on and off so I know it’s so easy to get paranoid. Take care, sounds like your be fine xx

Got everything crossed for you that it’s all ok xxx

Oh Lisa I think the Xmas bug is haunting us all! I woke up with a strong positive test and then bled straight after bright red! Enough to cover oantyliner and tissues etc and when I wiped but not heavy or clotted

I just went on bed rest and gradually it eased off

Please don't worry too much. As they say unless it continually heavy and full flow to fill a pad then not to worry

Often you can get vaginal bleeding and it's not cervical/uterine so it's not anything to do with the embryo!

Relax stay hydrated and keep off your feet xxxx mine has finally stopped after slowly lightening all day

You may find it turns more darker soon again xx

Lisaworthy1981 profile image
Lisaworthy1981 in reply toSaya85

Oh god really, was that today!!! It’s all so stressful isn’t it! But really not what I needed on Christmas Eve!

There was literally bright red on probably two wipes and now hardly anything! I’ve put a pad on and nothing on that either so we’ll see what tonight brings!!

I rang epu but she said unless it gets really heavy they wouldn’t do anything and I’ve to ring 111 if it does! Xxx

Saya85 profile image
Saya85 in reply toLisaworthy1981

Oh perfect ! Don't worry at all then please sometimes it can be cervical irritation or anything else

The fact it's gone after couple wipes is brilliant

Mine lasted whole day but eased off within first hour then was just dark blood slowly over hours

Just take it easy for rest of night.

Bedrest in time for Santa 😁

Oh god sake Lisa, hope its eased off. I think the others have covered it but I'm thinking of You!!xxx

Lisaworthy1981 profile image
Lisaworthy1981 in reply toCinderella5

Always a stress, thought all was going too good!! Xxx thank you

I am sorry you are alone going through this.

I had spotting ( which is what yours sounds like) between 6-14 weeks. At 10 weeks it was bright red with clots. I was sure I was losing the baby but had a scan the next & baby is fine.

It is terrifying to see any blood pregnancy especially after a chemical pregnancy ( been there)

My midwife told me as long as I didn’t have severe abdominal pain with heavy bleeding like filling a pad every will spot & or so not to it wasn’t anything to be concerned over.

Lots of women spot in pregnancy & babies are fine.

Make sure you rest up, like bed rest. That would stop my spotting.

Hope it eases soon & happy Christmas xixo

Oh god really that must of been stressful for you!!

It seems to have gone which is so strange! How can it come and go so quick?

I’ve got no pain at all, think I would of rung 111 if I had though to see if I could go and get checked out! Hopefully I’ll get some sleep tonight ready for Christmas Day xxx

Advice as above. It's difficult when it's the holiday time and not many services are open. Bed rest and distract yourself to some Xmas telly. 111 are there to give advice if needed 24/7. Goodluck and thinking of you xxx

Hey, don't worry! I am sure there is nothing to worry about. I can understand that this must be a very stressful situation for you. However, the best thing to do for now is to bed rest. Ask someone from your friends or family members to come to your place. This will just give you extra support and you will feel a bit less tensed. Stay strong and positive! Good luck to you.

Oh Lisa!! This is not what you need happening. Easier said than done but try not to panick. Bleeding can be very common and not a bad sign, EPU won’t really be able to advise much as this stage. Your best going to bed, or putting your feet up and just resting for the night with your feet up. Keep taking all your meds, and if the bleeding continues you could request bloods from them to put your mind at ease. I really hope everything is ok. Stay positive and as calm as you can, all will still be ok xxx

Lisaworthy1981 profile image
Lisaworthy1981 in reply tobaby2016

It’s a bloody nightmare (literally) it keeps coming and going! But not heavy enough to even touch the pad!! I’ve had a pad on since 7 and there’s not s drop on it, but is sometimes there when I wipe (red)

I’ll be going to bed soon and hopefully i will sleep xxx

It must be so so scary for you but I really hope you’ve found some comfort in how common bleeding in early pregnancy seems to be. I hope you get some sleep tonight and try to take it as easy as possible tomorrow. Fingers crossed it stops soon 🤞🏻 xx

Thank you! It seems to be exactly the same as what I had in my tww!! Not heavy but just there!! I’ll see how I get on and if it goes worse I’ll ring 111! Not what I want to be doing on Christmas Day so let’s hope it stops xxx

Tugsgirl profile image
Tugsgirl in reply toLisaworthy1981

🤞🏻🤞🏻 Remember that it may pool a little while you’re asleep tonight and then you may see a bit more in the morning but that’s only because you’ve been lying down all night. Try to get some rest now. Night night xx

Oh you poor thing, I had a small bit of bright red bleeding early on and a scan showed that there was a flap of tissue that caused it and it was nothing to worry about. I had to wait a whole weekend before we had scan after the bleeding though which felt like torture! The best piece of advice I got was from my aunt who was a midwife all her life. She said to me that the best thing you can do is rest. If it’s a good pregnancy, it won’t matter if you go horse riding, bunjee jumping or stay still lying down, the pregnancy will stick but if it’s not meant to be, then it just won’t be - the thing to remember is that whatever you do, you will have to live with yourself and if you do something you feel might not be appropriate, you will only blame yourself - even though it will have made no difference at All. So best thing is just to rest as much as you can until you can get some answers. Bleeding in early pregnancy is so very common though, so please try not to worry yourself suck - easier said than done though! Wishing you much peace during the next few days and lots of love - I hope that makes sense what I said?! Xxx

ooh so happy it's gone !

Mine stopped last night too and I managed to enjoy the evening with family and friends and even woke up this morning full of energy for a full Xmas dinner cooked by myself!

So hard not to overdo it lol.

My cramping and tightness symptoms pre bleeding have gone so I'm hoping that was just the release and won't get it again

Have a great day x
