Start of the 2ww

Hey ladies,

It's been a while since I last posted but just a little update, I'm currently in the Czech Republic and had my FET yesterday, we decided like last time just to have 1 put back in, the transfer went really well and the embryo was a really good grade and wasn't effected by the thaw so all we can do now is pray.

Before traveling I was very anxious due to our last experience but now feeling calm and positive, although not looking forward to the dreaded 2ww 😐

Hi Claire. Safe journey home, and find time to have a rest in between keeping busy while you wait. Fingers crossed. Diane

Thankyou Diane, I have next week off work so planned a mixture of outings with a couple of days kept aside for Christmas film binge watching. Hope your well x

Hi Diane, would you mind answering a query for me? Is it safe to have the flu vaccine just after a FET, I'm a bit paranoid about getting ill and thought it may be worth having the vaccine just in case but not sure if it would have a negative impact so soon after a FET

Hi Claire. Yes, I’ve always been advised to recommend that patients have the flu vaccine, no matter at what stage they are with a treatment cycle. Diane

Thanks Diane for coming back to me, I will do that then when I get home

Oh heck that must have been very scary!!😨 Glad you're doing ok after that drama & well done on feeling calm! I'm ok ta, just waiting to get started again....impatience has set in, as usual!πŸ™ˆ Im hoping I can start on next AF but with it being Xmas I'm not sure I will be able to get scans etc....standard for me, nothing ever simple!!πŸ˜‚xx

β€’ in reply toCinderella5

Yes I'm all good now,I'm a nightmare to go anywhere with, have a severe allergy to selfish but also recently found out I have a exercise induced anaphylaxis (very random and can be bought on just from walking)!!

Xmas is such an inconvenience isn't it!! I would be exactly the same, patience is not one of my traits,I really hope you don't have to wait too much longer xxx

β€’ in reply toCinderella5

Shellfish not selfish haha!!

Good luck Claire. Keeping everything crossed. So good that you are feeling calm x

β€’ in reply to

Thankyou Camillage, as soon as I stepped off the plane I felt calm and have been enjoying the trip, had a nice long walk around the castle and the markets and been out for nice meals, I'm off work next week so planned things to keep my mind off everything.

How are you getting on? Xx

β€’ in reply to

Going ok thanks. At 10 weeks now which is scary, still worry and anxiety but amazing. The way you are is just how I was this time. Really hoping you get your bfp xxx

β€’ in reply to

Thankyou πŸ˜„ Hopefully you will get some more reassurance on Christmas Eve when you go for your scan, this Christmas is going to be a magical one for you xxx

I'm good thankyou, this week has really flown by as I've kept myself really busy, back at work Mon but finish Weds and not back to the New Year so luckily I'll be off next Fri which is test date. I haven't had any bleeding this time round so not sure if that is a good or bad sign but trying not to analyse everything.

How you doing, counting down the days to your next scan I expect ❀ xx

β€’ in reply to

Oh that's not long. Glad you are doing well. I am really hoping for the hoped for outcome this time. You are really sounding so relaxed. This must be the time.

All good here. Symptoms come and go which is annoying, worrying and relief all at the same time. I am starting to get nervous about next Monday. But hey, only a week to go.

Fingers crossed for us both xx

β€’ in reply to

Thankyou, I'll probably be a bag of nerves next week!!

Yes fingers crossed for us both, I'll be looking forward to hearing from you xx

Good luck!!! I’ve just had transfer so I’m on the 2ww too, my 5th! X

Thankyou Scarlett, how are feeling? When is your test date?

At times I did have second thoughts about the timing of the transfer due to Christmas as it will either be a fantastic one or really disappointing but anytime of the year is hard isn't it!! X
