Multiple egg transfer
I would love to have two but my clinic puts only one back... xxx
Yes, every IVF I had I always put two back.
I had 2 and one took x
I had two grade a transferred, had my first viability scan on Monday and one has implanted and is growing nicely. Doctor couldn’t say for certain that putting two back was what worked but she said it seemed to be the right decision!
Good luck
I think it increases the chance of getting pregnant, incase the other doesnt attach
I had two put back and got a positive result. Have my viability scan next week. x
I had two put back at each time first time one pregnancy unfortunately miscarried. Second bfn and third at 3 days bfp. Had a bleed at 6 weeks scan showed 2 sacs one empty one with heartbeat. I had always thought only one would ever take or if we got pregnant we would only have one so was a shock to see it could have been two. I know that sounds naive but we didn’t think we would be lucky at all. I think what I am saying is two transferred gives a very real chance of two babies. Good luck xxx
I had two embryos transferred on my last attempt; I got a bfn despite them both being good quality xx
Ive had two really good embryos transferred and sadly still didnt get a BFP.....they were graded 4AA at freezing but once defrosted one was a hatching embryo and the other a fully hatched embryo!xx
It's a personal decision, but for me, transferring two just didn't make sense. It was my first attempt, and I'm under 35, so twin pregnancy was likely. My clinic were keen for us to transfer two as they were not perfect quality, but I pushed back and asked for just one. At the end of the day, it is down to what you consent to. The second one is now frozen and I got my BFP with the fresh transfer!
I did a lot of research on this issue, and whilst some say that the likelihood of a BFP is higher with two, there is also plenty of studies which demonstrate the risks of multiple pregnancy: increased chances of fetal fatalities, birth defects, low birth weights, health problems for the mother. I also found a study that indicated that if the embryos are of differing qualities, then the weaker one 'pulls down' the stronger and therefore a worse outcome is indicated. So weighing all of this up, it didn't make sense for me, but it could well be right for you. It's up to you (and your doctor). Best of luck xx
I had 2 put back but sadly a BFN. I would ask you why you are considering it? I am 41 nearly 42 and the embryos weren't great quality. If I was 31 and had good quality embryos I would probably put one back xx
