Finally a BFP, naturally after 2.5 years. I am in complete and utter happy shock and wanted to write this post to give hope to others.
My partner and I had been trying for over 2.5 years and recently had a failed ICSI cycle in July of this year with none to freeze.
Our fertility issue was the male factor as my partners count/motility/morphology was extremely low.
The failed ICSI cycle completely floored us and made us more determined to try and take some control back ourselves, so I researched for days and we both started taking a number of vitamins including ubiquinol and 3 months later his count improved dramatically and this result goes to show that you can improve your own chances.
I literally never ever thought I was going to be lucky enough to see a BFP. I’m in complete shock but absolutely amazed that we managed to do this ourselves. This is very early days and I know a lot can still happen but to get a BFP is like all my dreams come true
I hope this post gives you hope that even when it looks impossible, it only takes one 😘😘😘

Oh my god this is amazing news congrats xx we just had our first icsi cycle fail yesterday and still in shock but this gives me some real hope. Would you be able to tell me a bit more about the vitamins please? I want to take control of this now too and get my head and body in the best place xx again congrats so happy for you
I’m so sorry for your failed cycle, I know how traumatic it is, that’s why I wanted to share this with the community to give hope that we can change our own outcomes.
my partner took the following daily
100mg zinc
2000mg vitamin c
Male multi vitamin
300mg ubiquinol
I took
300mg ubiquinol
Female pre natal multi vitamin
Then we both ensured we stuck to drinking 2 litres of water
Zero caffeine
Zero alcohol
We started this in August after our failed treatment and it’s expensive but so worth it to get the control back
Thank you so much. I really appreciate you sending me all of this information through. Expensive? More expensive that a private round of treatment? We paid for it as the NHS kept screwing up appointments
No problem, No but expensive for pills. Hundreds of pounds not thousands. Worth every penny, so I 100% recommended giving it a go if male fertility is the problem xxx
Thank you. We also had a natural pregnancy in 2016 which resulted in our son but now we’re facing severe MFI of 1mil/ml out of nowhere. It indicates testicular failure as my husband has an FSH of 35 but we’ll give anything a try!
Thanks again for the info and wishing you well with your pregnancy xx
I am so happy for you. Congratulations to you! This post makes me much more hopeful. There is always light in the darkness. We just have to find the path towards it. I hope your pregnancy goes smoothly. All my warm wishes are with you. Do pray for us as well.
Congratulations to you both. For taking control and for your BFP! So happy for you. Miracles do happen. This is your time 👍🤗💖. Good luck hope you have a smooth pregnancy and birth xxx
You gave sound advice to others and they are grateful for this im sure. Congrats again. Xxx
That is fantastic news, congratulations to you both xx
I love this!!! Congratulations, I’m such a believer in diet and lifestyle being the answer for everything. Can’t wait to follow your journey. Keep it up all the way through if you can xx
Huge congratulations! Wishing you all the best for your pregnancy and thank you for sharing. For us it's looking like poor quality eggs are the problem but his sperm is only borderline for all three, so I'll be marching my husband straight to Holland and barret tomorrow! Enjoy your bfp!! X
Thank you lovely. The ubiquinol is said to be good for egg quality, I got this from the book “it starts with the egg”. Also I would suggest online purchasing as it’s cheaper xxx
Wow. Delighted both for you and your husband but also to all the other readers of this post because to hear such wonderful news can make such a difference. I wrote a few months ago asking for positive news from anyone whose partner had low ( almost zero ) sperm counts as my daughter and son in-laws had recently had a BFN after their first round of nhs icsi and had so many lovely responses Following their first round my daughter started reading up on male infertility and her husband started taking a whole host of vitamins etc. His recent sperm test showed a massive increase in sperm Although not in the “normal” range yet !! They’ve just had a second round of icsi and are currently
doing the dreaded two week wait 😩. As a parent watching what my daughter has been through and experiencing all the highs and lows with her I can relate a little to all you wonderful ladies on this forum I wish all of you a sprinkling a magical baby dust and congratulations to you. Enjoy your pregnancy and your little one when they arrive xxx
