So I went with my best friend and saw a couple of talks, which were chaired by Jessica Hepburn who is always fab. It was good to not feel so isolated. I also had a chat with a couple of nutritionists, but for me going into round 7, now using donor eggs, with a womb that is pretty toxic the people on the stands couldn’t tell me what my clinic haven’t already said, but they were very kind and empathic. It was also interesting talking to people about next steps, surrogacy, adoption etc. (Although I’m not there yet) But emotionally draining, I think I need a lie down!
And the bonus was I got a free stress ball sperm!😂😂

Sometimes a bit of kindness and empathy is exactly what we need. Glad you enjoyed it.
What's with the sperm stress ball? Sounds lovely! lol. can you upload a pic on here? might cheer us all up xx
It’s nice to know that they backed your clinic up so at least it sounds like they’re trying everything. Thanks for letting us know what it was about xx
Really Interesting to hear thank you very much for posting, can I ask, if you don't mind, what they have advised dietary wise. I always think this has been a problem for me and have decided to cut out wheat and dairy and have a low GI low inflammatory diet. Just trying to throw everything at it,it's our third time with donor eggs and we're currently in the dreaded 2WW, all the best to you xxx
Oh god fingers crossed for you, so hard xx really she just said omega 3, vitamin D and folic acid were the main things, that was to help with the donor side and my NK cells that are pretty evil! Diet wise she didn’t really say much as I didn’t enquire, I feel I’ve done all sorts of mad things, and I’ve lost a lot of my oomph! Xxx
Thank you so much! I'm Taking the supplements as my vit D levels were really low. You're right about all the mad things, we just try everything we can to make this work don't we! Xxx
Hi Allelilook, I went as well. I found it very overwhelming but taken away a lot of useful information. I’m going to listen to these podcasts called the long road to baby: bbc.co.uk/programmes/p06nxj...
I thought these were pretty good actually. I sent the links onto my mum for a listen too, think it helps get their head around what we're going through!xx
