Just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone who has supported me this week in the run-up to transfer. In the end we decided to wait until today (day 5) and it turns out that was a good decision as one of our 2 embryos has not done so well whereas the other had reached blastocyst by this morning and the embryologist was happy with it.
So now it’s embryo on board and the start of the wait until pregnancy test!

Needed some time off from here but all is good now. That day after EC, when we found out that there will be no transfer, was extremely painful. I think that maybe we were to positive when we started first round... Now any other outcome will be a bonus as we won’t be expecting much. Or maybe I’m wrong How are you feeling?? Xx
I am sure getting that news must’ve been so hard and I’m glad having had some time away has helped but glad you’re back! It’s just so hard to get a balance as it’s important to stay positive but obviously things don’t always work out as we’d hope... Keeping my fingers crossed that the next round is successful for you. Do you know when you might start?
I’m fine thanks, just trying not to read too much into what may or may not be signs... Only the test will tell and I’ve still got a bit of a wait for that.
Thanks! Your wait must be nearly over...? I’m with you on the worries about over-exertion, have literally been worried about coughing/sneezing today 😂 x
Seems to be so far. Had a scan at nearly 9 weeks and got my 12 week scan in another week and I’ll stop my cyclogest then too. Can’t quite believe it! Hopefully my anxiety will ease off from that point on! I hope the next two weeks fly by for you! Xx
Thank you 😃 This is a random thing to ask but I read your eye had been twitching and I’ve had the same thing, my left eye too! I was wondering if it was stress-related... Has yours eased off? X
Oh gosh!! yes it's gone now but only over the last 10 days! It was so annoying and for me it was definitely stress related. I've found that it does try to start when I'm getting stressed but I kind of try to stop it.
It’s strange, it was happening on and off quite a lot and I only thought when I saw your post that it has eased recently so probably related to the IVF cycle. Sometimes it felt so bad that I wondered if other people could notice! X
Wishing you good luck for the 2WW, my first transfer was on Friday. My head is all over the place but trying to not overthink everything. Easier said than done though! x

It really is a tough process 😞 Am finding it tricky to keep a balance between being positive but also realistic about our chances given that it’s our first round... Think given that we’ve had lots of disappointments along the way I’m trying to brace myself for another but know I must also try to stay positive... Gosh this whole thing is hard! Hope you’re managing better than me! X
Totally agree with you re the balance between being positive and realistic. It is hard. I’ve got a couple of weeks off work which is nice in some ways - need to keep myself occupied but still rest etc. I’m struggling to know how much to do / not do. My Dr was helpful but can’t help worrying! Test 1 week today and I’m going to try v hard not to test at home in the meantime xx
After I wrote that post I felt bad as should be trying to keep positive and keeping other thoughts to myself so thanks for understanding 😃 Good that you’re off work so can decide how much you feel up to doing. My test date is a week tomorrow, terrible timing as my husband flies to the States with work on Monday... reckon I might be tempted to test Monday but should probably be patient and wait til Tues... Do you reckon Monday is too early...?! Hope you’re having a nice day today x
