How long on stims?

Hi ladies. Im just wondering how long I should b on stims between starting and egg collection? Started last sat on long protocol x

I haven't done long protocol so i don't know I'm afraid

It’s different for everyone. Average is probably about 14 days but I had stimulation for 16days. It all depends on how your body responds to the medication.

I was on short protocol so not sure how different that is for timings, but I started them on the Thursday, took my final dose the following Saturday (so 10 days), did trigger shot on the Sunday, then EC on the Tuesday. I didn’t respond the best to start with so they upped the dose slightly after my first scan and I think that was fine. Don’t think I stayed on them any longer as a result. Good luck with your cycle!

I did 9 days of 225 menopur on long protocol and had 12 eggs retrieved, had 3 scans during stims x

I was on stims for 19 days. In my opinion too long. Good luck x

I was only on for 8 days as responded really quickly - like someone else said its different for everyone I am afraid you really can't plan. Also don't be disheartened if first scan doesn't show much progress.. so much can change in a couple of days xx

Thank u! I needed to hear this as just out from my 1st scan and it didn't show much. Lining still only 3.5 and they could only see 1 follicle on each side. Back in on Monday. I'm already on the max amount of drugs xx

Dont panic, i didnt have any follicles on left hand side on first scan and three days later I had 11 and they had been hidden!! They also all then exploded over the next 2 days! got my fingers crossed xx

Fingers crossed for Monday, have you tried hot baths and using a hot water bottle on your tummy? Sometimes this can help!xx

Oh really! I will try that thanks hun! My baths r always pretty roasting but i will try the hot water bottle. Been feeling so positive until now! So scared that they cancel the cycle on Monday which they did day could happen before i even started xxx

Im still at my same clinic in Athens. Still waiting on AF to come....gone AWOL again. Hopefully should come next week and hope to be reunited with my frosties end of November-ish!xx
