Prednison withdrawal

HI

I am on 5mg prednison and been on this since beginning of August I have now been asked to withdraw over the next 2 weeks but they didn't say how any one got any advice on this.

I was on 10mg a day and reduced this to 5mg for a week- then 5mg every other day for another week. I would think you would just start taking them every other day and ween off that way but probably best to check with your clinic xx

Hi Divvylass. It is a low dose, so why not try reducing to one every other day for a week, then one 3 times a week then just one the next week and stop. good luck! Diane

Thank you I've dropped to every other day for this week and I'll go to every 3rd day next week. I'll be so glad when I am off all these Meds x x ☺

Hey. My last cycle I was on 15mg ( 3 a day) The nurse told me when I was stopping to take 3 a day for 3 days, then 2 a day for 2 days and then 1 a day for 2 days then stop. That worked perfect for me no withdrawal symptoms 👍
