After 5 losses I’m looking to do another cycle of IVF and I’ve been reading about tandem cycles abroad. Think I’m going to need donor eggs but want to try one last go with my own eggs if I get any. Does anyone have any advice for me? Please PM me if you can help.
Many thanks xx

I don't have any experience with this afriad but hopefully ladies here will and maybe give Diane Arnold a message as well as she will probably have some info.
Best of luck. Xx
Hi Steph8080
I am so sorry to read about your journey. Hopefully success will be just around the corner. I don't know about tandem cycles but I am sure someone will be able to share their experiences.
Good luck xx
I am starting a tandem cycle in Cyprus very shortly im on day 5 today of my stims. Feeling excited and nervous at the same time. Message me if you want anymore info X
Hi Steph8080. Tandem cycles did start to get popular at one stage, as it was thought that continually putting the female body through using fertility drugs, it would encourage it to react and give positive results. Some specialists believe it is better not to let the body settle down after an IVF cycle, but to carry straight on to the next one. I have known it to work, but it's something to discuss with your specialist. Good luck! Diane
Hi Diane, does it mean that both you and the ED go through stims and collection at the same time so you then end up hopefully with your embryos and that of the ED so you can transfer any of them and freeze the others or do another transfer straight away should first fail? Thanks

Hi Jols. That will be for you to decide with your specialist. Either it will be a freeze all cycle, so the ED is treated on her own, otherwise you can synchronise with her and have a fresh transfer, then freeze any extra embryos. Diane
