Got my BFP today and now bleeding 😫😫

Today was my OTD and got a positive however now I’ve started bleeding , it’s red and I’ve seen 1 blood clot😭😭 can’t believe we could experience soo many emotions in one day!!

Trying to contact my clinic but been on hold for nearly 15mins 😫😫 my eyes are so sore from crying. Anyone with similar experience that went on to s successful pregnancy? Clinging on to any piece of hope 😢

Finally got through to them, all the advised is if the flow increases and more clots visible then to head to the local egu/epu centre x

As Orla9298 said, it might be worth upping your progesterone! Glad to see it's settling!!🤞xx

Is it heavy and are you cramping at all?

Personally I would up my progesterone myself straight away! And keep holding for your clinic. I hope it all turns out ok for you xxxxx

I really hope it's a false alarm, can you visit them in person if you don't manage to get hold on them on the phone? Fingers crossed xx

It’s slowed down considerably so hopefully a false alarm xx

So sorry to hear that. Lots of women do spot in pregnancy & are fine. Keeping everything crossed for you- maybe phone your GP.

I’ve just had some brown & pink spotting today & I’m 6.5 weeks. I’ve phoned my GP & they are arranging me to have a scan at the Early Pregnancy Unit.

Hope you have lots of support around you. xoxo

Yes I hear that too, it’s just I was distraught as we’d literally just got our positive early this morning.

I’m booked in for a viability scan on the 6th nov so hopefully it’s smooth sailing from today onwards.

Good luck with your scan jess, lots of love xx❤️🤞

I called my local epu and the nurse reassured me that It’s quite common. Advised to switch to back passage 😶 so will attempt tonight !!and I’ve been booked for a earlier scan, which is 2weeks before the one at my ivf clinic xx

in reply tosanni12

Really glad to hear that. We are all routing for you and it is always reassuring to have a local medical representative discuss things with you. Xx

Thank you camillage. For the first time I inserted the pessary anally and omdays its soo much easier. Can’t believe I didn’t try it before!! Since last night I just a one tiny brown spot on my pantyliner and nothing since 🤗🤗 xx

in reply tosanni12

Wow. That's great. I am not sure how I would cope with the back way, but if it means less irritation and resultant scary bleeds then bring it on! You go warrior! Xx

Glad to hear it is settling down. It sounds very promising- it might be the implantation bleeding. 👌🏻

Spotting is very common during pregnancy, my GP reassured me unless it’s really heavy bleeding with lots of severe cramping not to worry & some women even survive heavy bleeding!

I know it’s scary tho isn’t it. Especially after what we’ve been through to get pregnant!

We’ve decided against scanning early ( I had a chemical pregnancy last year & it was awful being told that news) with my chemical the bleeding kept up & got very heavy with massive blood clots & severe cramping. The fact yours is light & you’re not in pain is a really good sign. xoxo

I experienced same and asked my doc for PIO injections becaz I was on pessaries only. Bled on and off from five weeks to about 9/10. However once I started pio bleeding slowed down and eventually stopped. So I agree with those who say upping progesterone May help

I’m not sure if my clinic offer this injection as they usually quite reluctant to try anything and just let nature take its course from here on x
