I’m currently 3days post transfer and really struggling with eating a balanced diet. Maybe it’s because I have no structure to the day and so I find I eat less than if I was at work. Just to give you an insight into what I had yesterday. Please advise if you think it’s acceptable
Only thing I would say is that you’ve got quite a lot of sugar in there. As a starter, cocopops isn’t a great breakfast. If you improve that then you probably won’t need quite so many snacks. Do you like porridge? I make mine in the microwave every morning so it’s not a big faff, I add chia seeds and dried fruit and it keeps me going much better than cereals which are often surprisingly full of added sugar. Failing that what about a healthier more filling cereal like branflakes or weetabix? Or eggs are a great source of protein and will keep you full if you have them with some wholemeal toast?
Everything you’re saying make sense and I know this but I guess yesterday was just a relapse. I was just getting tired of eating healthy and being at home was taking its toll on me as I’m not use to relaxing this much lol.
With my fresh cycle I was on a regimented diet plan , snacking on nuts and berries and eating everything you recommended. I guess it needs to be done 🙈

It takes time to adjust being at home so don’t be too hard on yourself. It’s useful to plan ahead and think about what you want to eat when you first start out. What do you want to achieve with your diet? Scanning your day, there is not enough fruit or vegetables there- seems like only three or four portions there. Not sure about portion sizes but it is likely that you are eating above the 2000calories recommended for a woman.
Your water intake should be minimum 1.5l (2 litres total but that can include other fluids)
You have quite a few “empty calories” there too- eg caramel macchiato can be very high in sugar without providing much in terms of nutrients. I would also suggest eating whole fruit rather than a smoothie. There is also a lot of processed food there-I find soup at lunchtime to be filling and you can put lots of veg in it and it will last a few days.
Oats are great for breakfast as Lizzie says- you can have porridge/baked/overnight with yoghurt (be careful of sugar in fruit yoghurts).
Write down a couple of aims you want to achieve and start with small sustainable changes eg 3 home cooked meals a week or have a sugar free breakfast.
Everyone is allowed an “off” day (although I don’t believe any food should be off limit in a healthy diet)
I can only eat porridge with stuff added too! I add cinnamon to mine and always have frozen cherries or blueberries to add to it. (Sometimes I add a bit of almond essence for a cherry bakewell feel! ) xx

With my 2ww ( which wasn’t IVF) I just continued my normal diet ( which is anti inflammatory as it eases my endometriosis symptoms) I didn’t always eat perfectly! I did add extra pineapple as it’s meant to be helpful for implantation? ESP the core. And i took fertility & pregnancy all in one supplements.
It must be difficult at home , my routine is better working too so get that, but at least you can rest up & limit stress. 😘 I found watching comedy films helped ( sorry gone off subject there) Despite my diet not always being perfect I still got myBFP!

I’ve stocked up on pineapple so going to have a few chunks a day , I’ll try anything to keep this embie from leaving 🙏🏻 diets a lot better today and tomorrow I’m back at work so more structure will help

I fully intend to embrace the tapas diet when I am in Spain. That usually ends up not including as many veggies as we have at home. But if in general you have a balanced and healthy diet please don't beat yourself up.
It is miserable enough cutting out alcohol and many other staple foods (for me bread and cheese are no nos too 😪)
I have some chocolate with my chamomile tea just about every night. It's a vain attempt to stop myself from binge eating a large bag of peanut m&ms and telling myself that's all I need to eat ha ha.
We have a guilty pleasure of fish and chips from the chippy quite often. I tell myself some feeble excuse of fresh fish being good for us.
Just try to eat fresh food and some people eat a tonne of Brazil nuts and pineapple cores during the 2ww.
Really I think the best thing to do will be to eat what makes you feel good. On one hand we are told that we need to change our diet for months to have an impact and on the other apparently there are magic foods we can eat during the 2ww. I for one try to take that stuff with a pinch of salt (no pun intended).
