I wondered if anyone else is going through 'prep' for potential IVF? We had our latest consultant appt on Thursday and found we have some MFI now so there's more tests to do for him and I'm getting an MRI. But one of our outcomes was that if we need to move to IVF, they can't physically refer me at all until my BMI is 29.9 or less.
So that's my focus right now, I've already lost 17lbs and another 17lbs to go till target. It's good to get healthier, and I'll do anything to help get pregnant, but sometimes upsetting to have things pinned on weight. We can't move forward if I don't lose it
Thanks for reading!

I know it's not the same thing but I've prepped by getting my BMI down a bit (it wasn't mandatory but it made me feel healthier) and both DH and I have been on healthier diet, vitamins and supplements and doing lots of reading around how to get the best egg and sperm quality.
My treatment has been put back a couple of times for extra tests/delays and whilst it's really frustrating (especially as I'm the least patient person in the world!) I have been trying to see it as extra time to sure up my physical and mental health and hopefully it'll be a good thing in the long run.
Thank you, I'm also trying to think of the positives - we were able to have a holiday recently back to where we got married which I'm really grateful for and this loooong process at least gives time for improving health, money savings as well as starting a new qualification at work for me. Lots of good things, it's just hard sometimes when all we want is that one thing we don't have yet.
You’re doing amazingly well. Keep going it’s so worth it.
When I was first referred I had a little to lose too. I didn’t really get the need for it. I’m 23 weeks pregnant, and all Id say is it does make you feel healthier when you are pregnant and going to be gaining weight anyway, to not have too much excess to worry about. I now see why they made an issue of it, for the benefit of both you and your baby.
Good luck, you will get there as if anything motivates the weight loss it’s working towards making your baby dream come true xx
