Still waiting

Hi everyone,

I had my bfn last Friday so stopped using the pessaries last Thursday. Today is day 8 of being off the pessaries and I still haven’t started bleeding. I tested again on Sunday and it was still negative. I had my follow up appointment yesterday and they did an internal scan just to check for cysts etc and all was fine. They said the lining looked like it was starting to break away. I’ve had bad cramping today and a bit of spotting, the spotting isn’t red blood though it’s dark like the colour that you get at the end of a period.

Has anyone else experienced this after a failed cycle?

I had a bfn on 19th and got af on 23rd. Xx

I have had delays but mostly my period arrives when I get a bfn. It depends what drugs you have had and also you may be "holding on" I.e. your mind not quite letting your body go as you don't want it to be over. Its a horrible time. Sending you big hugs xx

I’m sorry to hear about your bfn. I had a BFN on the 20th. I started spotting on the 22nd, but it never really got going and ended on Wednesday.

I think all the drugs impact on our body in all sorts of ways and it takes abit of time for it to get back to normal 💕 xx

Sorry to hear that. It takes a while for your body to work out what’s going on with all the drugs that it’s had. Hopefully it’ll work it out sooner rather than later xx
