Can you tell me what exercise people do during their cycle. I love Body combat but have been told not to do that as it’s high impact. What do you do or should I just forget about it for now?? X

Exercise during ivf cycle.
Hi
I did some jogging on the first couple of days of stims but after that I stopped by day 8/9 I was too tired to do anything after work.
The advice I've been given is light exercise, no HIIT workouts or anything strenuous.
I think it depends completely on how you feel.
Good luck xx
I didn't exercise - just gentle walking. And I was in the gym most days before treatment....
Xxx
At our treatment planning session I asked the fertility nurse about exercise. I currently do yoga, Fitsteps and gentle running. The nurse said I could continue with everything until egg collection then take it easy. I bought a fertility yoga dvd from Amazon recently which is supposed to get the blood flow circulating in the right area. Haven't tried it yet though.
Good luck with your cycle xx
I just did walking and swimming until I started pessaries.
If you’re looking at yoga/Pilates options then ‘nhs fitness studio’ has a selection of videos - from very beginner level. Just google it and you’ll find it pretty easily.
I was told the same - no high impact - and I just got too tired to do much in the end anyway! Good luck xx
It depends on what drugs you are taking. If you are a stimming, then exercise must be low impact, as the ovaries swell and so there is the risk of ovarian torsion. Also you don’t want to be shocking your body, as the stress of over exercising can affect egg production.
However if you are down regulating (eg on Buserelin) then, as far as I’m aware, you can exercise as normal. The only hard thing is finding the energy to get out and exercise, as I found Buserelin left me feeling flat. Best thing to do is to call your clinic and double check.
Good luck & hope you get out there and kick some body combat butt! 😊
I’m a Pilates instructor on top on my normal job and was told to stop it during stimulation as it may cause torsion of the ovaries. I was told to only do walking. Good luck x
