Reflexology over Accupuncture?

Hi Ladies, has anyone tried reflexology during ivf instead of acupuncture? I had a terrible experience with acupuncture years ago and it really put me off. I start short protocol for icsi on Thursday and know I should do acupuncture but wanted to know if I could consider reflexology instead?

I’ve done reflexology and acupuncture and find reflexology so relaxing and I swear I can feel it work. By chance it’s been the natural cycles where I have done that where I have fallen pregnant and with my ivf transfer I had it too, 2 days after transfer to help implantation and we got pregnant, it just didn’t stick.

Thank you, neither did the naturals, so something is amiss I think!

My lady was a fertility or repro reflexologist, so see if you can get someone who is specialist as Lilli79 has said xx

Hi Hidden i did a few sessions of acupuncture last year and didn't really get on with it (too expensive & not much results). Decided to do reflexology instead and much prefer it. Both the acupuncture and reflexology evened out my cycle but reflexology sorted my hormones and emotions completely. I felt very weepy after acupuncture but quite uplifted and relaxed after reflexology. The point of doing either is to increase blood flow to the uterus to aid implantation, but it's really debatable whether this works or not. If anything reflexology will level your stress and hormones during your cycle. I still do reflexology after 1.5 yrs, but will be stopping soon as am due in about 2 weeks. Good luck with your cycle - if you do decide to go for reflexology, make sure you find a fertility/maternity trained practitioner xxx

I don't think I'll be able to find a fertility specialist where I live as alternate medicines are not widely used but there is a lady from the UK that does it so hopefully, she has some experience with fertility treatments. I was thinking of doing it purely to help me relax but i might try it after transer if i get that far-trying not to get ahead of myself as i am a poor responder! Thanks for the good wishes, I just want to start now! xx
