Hi all- have suspected PCO.. (not pcos as have regular periods)have been told hot to have another blood test during next cycle as they may try me with metformin? Any ladies got any experience with this??x

I have heard this too. Im he same as you PCO but not PCOS. My acupuncturist suggested I try a supplement called Inositol which is meant to work similar to metformin. I’m going to try it next month. Let me know how you get on x

I’m on Metformin & Inofolic supplement for PCOS (although my diagnosis is debated)

Metformin is nasty stuff for me, I can’t tolerate a full dose due to side effects, but everyone is different and others can manage the full 1500mg. Build up the dose gradually is the main tip -even using half-tablets to help your body adjust.

Inofolic gives me no issue.

I can’t think of anything else to say about it - let you know if you had any other q’s though x

I have been on metformin for a year now! Similar to you I had regular periods but after blood tests they figured I had insulin resistance and hence put me on metformin
