Two periods in one month after an hsg... - Fertility Network UK
Two periods in one month after an hsg (hysterosalpingography).
My period after was heavier but didn’t come until it was due.
But my lap and hysteroscopy brought my period forward by a few days; the hospital advised me to talk to my GP who said if it continued for more than 10 days she’d run tests/ prescribe antibiotics.
I’d ring your clinic if there is a out of hours nurse/dr there to speak to. ( my clinic don’t) failing that option maybe speak to 111 to get some advice; you maybe able to leave it till clinic/ GP open Monday. Definitely speak to someone it maybe you picked up an infection not trying to worry you. xoxo
I don't know if it's common but this happened to me as well. I had the hsg done day 15 (due to staff holidays at the hospital) but got my period about 3 days later. I went to the gp worried about infections etc and was basically laughed at, so maybe wait and see what next month brings.
Also, my following period was horrendously heavy. Talk to the hospital who did your hsg if possible.
