Time away from work

Hello. I had my 1st nurse appointment yesterday and need to go back in on 13th aug to sign the paperwork before i can get the treatment started. I just wondered how many appointments roughly will i have after this? Just trying to work out how much time i may need away from work xx

Hi 👋 It depends.. Whether you’re doing long protocol or short. You’ll probably be scanned every 2-3 days at some point. You may be able to fit those in around work by getting earlier or later appointments. Once you have EC again that depends, you’ll need the day for that, maybe the next day as you might feel a bit tender and bloated. I didn’t go back from EC right through the tww and only returned after my negative test. I was also off work for a couple of days before EC as I’d become uncomfortable and bloated and everything was so much effort so personally I had about 3 weeks then. Some women don’t take the tww off as they find work a good distraction. All depends how physical your job is and your own personal choice xx

Thanks hun. Don't have many holidays left and hate asking for appointment time off but il just need to do it. Are the scan appointments long? Xxx

No. If your appointment runs on time you’ll be in and out again easily within half an hour. The scan itself is quite quick actually xx

Hi Hun I start DR on the 6th and the plan they have given me is base line on 21st, stim scans on 27th, 29th, 31st with EC on 3rd and transfer on either 6th or 8th. I know each clinic is different but I hope this helps x x x
