Yesterday’s Follow Up Appt...

...Finally! After 13 weeks.

My consultant told me that my ovaries were VERY polycystic not just a little like I was told the day after surgery, so straight off I was annoyed.

I had gone in to the appointment with the thought in mind that I was gonna ask him to prescribe me Metformin alongside Clomid to see what will happen as I have read some success stories and I want to try everything before going down the IVF route but before the words came out of my mouth that’s what he told me he was going to do (hurray). He explained that he wanted me to take these and then I’d have a follow up appointment in 4 months time. So today I took my first tablet, with a folic acid tablet, I’m currently on my period anyway so the Clomid will be started next cycle.

It’s hard to feel upbeat some days but I’ve got to pick myself up and carry on! I’m just hoping for a break some time soon and to see that there is light at the end of this very dark tunnel. 🤞🏼✨

Oh that is awful be so misinformed; I’d felt the same if that happened to me.

That must have been a horrible shock for you.

I am glad you have a plan and you can try something before going down the ivf route.

I’m sure once you are over the shock you will feel more excitement @ upbeat and come to kick infertility’s butt 😏 clomid & metformin works for many ladies why shouldn’t it work for you 😍

My cousin has severe PCO and conceived naturally on clomid with her little boy 🙂

I hope this works, I really do.

I was annoyed but figured shouting and balling wouldn’t have changed the situation anyway. So healthy eating, exercise and a fresh set of tablets to help us to achieve our goal xxx
