So sorry to hear you've had another failed cycle. It must be absolutely devastating. Have you been tested to see if you have raised levels of NK (natural killer) cells? It can be done through an endoscratch at a particular time in your cycle and if they are raised they can treat you for it... I had it done because my clinic were doing research into it and offered a free test with an endoscratch - mine came back high so I now take a steroid (prednisolone) in the run up to and after embryo transfer. I've only had one cycle and we did get a BFP but I miscarried just before 6 weeks... Might be worth investigating if you decide to do another cycle? Sending you gentle healing hugs xxx
Hi, thank you for your reply. I didn’t actually know about these cells, I was thinking of having a scratch next time so will definitely ask about this. X
So sorry, it’s just horrific especially when we just don’t know why xxx
Sorry to read this Hun. I hope you get some answers & go on to have a BFP in the future. Hugs x
I really am very sorry to hear this.
I don’t know your whole history but if you have had unsuccessful cycles could your fertility specialist refer for more investigations?
If you generally feel like your body is attacking healthy embryos it might be a good idea to have your NK cells looked into; you can either have the biopsy or a blood test; ask your fertility specialist which their preference is. I had mine tested by blood and it’s raised at 12% although my fertility specialist prefers the biopsy as it’s the “affected area” he will prescribe prednisone during early pregnancy for the first 12 weeks and he also prescribes progesterone pessaries for pregnancy ( even for my natural conception which ended as a miscarriage ) I do have endometriosis.
Some ladies also take blood thinners such as low dose aspirin during 2ww ; you could ask if your specialist if they think that might be a good idea.
As for the thyroid is it being treated?
My cousin has PCOS too and had a miscarriage at 6 weeks but had her thyroid looked at and took thyroxine and conceived her little boy ❤️
My TSH is also raised above 2.5 but my fertility specialist won’t issue thyroxine unless my thyroid antibodies are raised too which he would test if I had another miscarriage.
Awww I'm so sorry to hear this! It's hard going through multiple failures. I seem to have the same problem, just can't seem to get pregnant and it's so frustrating! I've had a hysteroscopy & having intralipids & clexane next time. Also have treated my thyroid to get ir lower than 2 as recommended by my clinic!xx
