Advice on alternative therapies

Hello , just wondering if anyone has used alternative therapies such as Reiki to aid fertility? We have 1 remaining embryo & I’m willing to try anything if it will help 😊, xxx

I tried acupuncture with my second cycle, I had read improved your chances by a high percentage, I went weekly a month or so before frozen cycle started, also went the day of my transfer and a couple of days later. Our frozen transfer was successful but not sure if it's coincindental 😊

I also used acupuncture but there has been a recent study stating that it doesn’t statistically improve outcomes. Maybe check the latest research before shelling out. I got mine cheaper by taking out a healthcare cash back plan and claiming on it.

I had lots of Reiki but if i’m honest aside from relaxation it doesn’t do anything but you can try it. Acupuncture can help but again it’s not really proven although if you’ve had a bfp you’ll assume it partly helped. I’ve had friends spend a fortune on acupuncture and didn’t get anywhere. I did have bfp’s following acupuncture but I only had a single session each time so not sure if it helped but there’s no harm so why not? Xxx

I didn't have any alternative therapies, but I do believe it is important to reduce stress and be relaxed, so anything which aids that for you is good. Related article: theguardian.com/lifeandstyl... xx

Hi, I used acupuncture when I was doing IVF with my own eggs and I had better egg quality and quantity. Although it ended in a bfn... maybe you should ask your clinic if they recommend someone? good luck 💖
