One in today (number 6) Hang in there little one...and do begins the 2ww. Any tips on taking your mind off it?

I’m brand new here and only ever a silent participant in forums, but I just wanted to say that we’re in the same boat as you. Had our frozen embryo transfer today - 2 little ones put back. So I just wanted to say good luck for the next 2 weeks, I know how you feel!! And I have absolutely no useful advice to offer! last time was just as hard...Just know you’re not alone. May your little one grow bigger and healthier every day x

**ps We had such a scare this morning - both our little embryos that they defrosted had died...We’re so lucky we had two more and they were both ok, but that was a nail biting hour waiting to find that out...

Hi, very good luck to you I hope it is a big positive at the end of the wait. You are lucky to have had 4. I got 2 in the end 1 still left in the freezer. I have three failed attempts, so we changed the clinic we were using to give us a better chance, and I am hoping my luck will change this time 😬. Good luck and take care of yourself x

Did you find that they used a very different drug regime at the new clinic? Everyone seems to have their own cocktails they use, so hard to know what is best. I sincerely hope this time is the time for you!

Yes we were very lucky to get a few extra embryos last year with our cycle - one of the good things about PCOS aparently is that you tend to make lots of eggs when stimulated.

Did you take any time off work? I scheduled transfer so that we could have Fri - Sun at least to rest. And going to try and take it easy with my hours next week. I know all the specialists say it’s not necessary, but I can’t help worrying that being tired and stressed has a negative impact on implantation... This time I’m listening to my mum! 😆

I made a timetable in my last round. Filled with films, baking, shopping, seeing friends. This round I was supporting Mr Emu’s mum and doing lots of different things that I didn’t feel I had the time for me! I definitely recommend being busy and remembering... just enjoy yourself x

I’m with you as I just had my last ever transfer on Tuesday. I’ve decided to stop after four as IVF is ruining my life and prolonging my misery I think. Anyway, i’ve Just taken on an overgrown allotment so will be doing some therapeutic weeding and (gentle) clearing to help keep my mind off it. Not that ANYTHING will really keep my mind off it.... good luck to everyone !! Xx

.. this week has been an emotional rollercoaster 🎢 in Monday they thought i hadn’t responded well to stims and talked about cancelling and then had a call to go ahead with EC on Wednesday ... we had transfer yesterday and decided to go with putting two embryos in ... amazing to see one at 4 cell stage and the other at 8! 2ww will be hard but trying to have a positive mind and big hopefully heart. Hi, yes the drugs were slightly different, they gave me a short protocol with menapur (which I had before) and gonal-f (never used). I seem to react well to the drugs and have lots of eggs (had 20 on my first go) and they tend to fertilise but it is when it gets to day 5 it all tends to go wrong. I have never got to the stage where I have had 2 good ones so hopefully it will take.

I did collection and transfer in Spain so took a week and then a long weekend off work. I going previously the stress of trying to get back to work the same day too much. Hope it all works out for you x

Good luck jolo146 😊🤞 Fill your days with stuff to do & time will move quicker! I did quite a bit of baking, some easy strolls in the countryside and some pottering in the garden. I think the advice is to wear gloves if you’re gardening & don’t do anything too strenuous (don’t lift anything heavier than a bag of sugar).
