Hey ladies

Had some great news today and can’t believe we’ve got this far as I’m 43. My first scan is on the 4th. Just wondering if anyone could offer some tips on how to get through this next stage.

Vitamins? Relaxation? Anything

Stay away from Google. Apart from that go with your body. It's really hard not to worry but you'll get through it.

Huge congratulations lovely

Can’t offer tips as not there yet but have you tried Headspace? It’s a meditation/ mindfulness app and there’s a course there about pregnancy..... I’ve found lots of the other courses useful and good for de-stressing and gaining perspective.

Worth a try?

Congratulations! This is such wonderful news, you must be over the moon!

Time passes so slowly during those first few weeks after BFP, so I’d agree that doing some nice things to distract yourself will help to speed things along.

I personally also found that it helped to write down my symptoms each day. I found that this helped me to relieve some anxiety. When I felt like it wasn’t working because I didn’t feel pregnant, I’d look back and see that actually while symptoms were subtle & would come & go, they were definitely still there! I could also tick off each day as it passed, as a step closer to the “safe” zone.

Wishing you every ounce of luck for a happy and healthy pregnancy 😊 xx

To be honest I am finding this time waiting for my scan harder than the 2WW!! I still have 11 days to go till my scan. It will be at about 7 wks. I feel like I’m going mad!!!!!

Absolutely thrilled for you!! I’m 45 and 9 weeks tomor. It is scary as hell and virtually impossible for me to stay calm on any scan day...I’ve had 3 private scans already as was worried about zero symptoms but all ok 🙏🏼 I use those relaxation meditative you tube videos and it helps to positive talk to yourself a few times a day...affirmations, sounds ridiculous but actually helps and there’s a lot to be said for the power of the subconscious mind 😉 good luck xxx

Congratulations ❤️Xxx

Congratulations!! It is hard to wait for your first scan. Be kind to yourself, watch movies you love, treat yourself to nice things, eat good food, meditate, get plenty of rest. Nothing will take away the worry completely, but all the above helps. Also, chatting to people on here helps. I also joined a Facebook group - or ladies who are pregnant through IVF, and it has been a huge source of support and knowledge. Here's the link - facebook.com/groups/2847109...
