Scan update

[NDE1987]

Hi ladies and gents, for those who have messaged to see how I doing thank you!! There is such an amazing network on here and I don't know where I will be without you. So I had my early pregnancy scan today! And it went well. It was so amazing to hear the heartbeat and see the baby just moving around!! I honestly never in a million years thought I would be able to experience something like this. After 3 years of trying and numerous failed treatment I am counting my lucky stars. Also being an endometriosis sufferer I felt like it wouldn't work. For anyone reading this post please keep faith. I know I have such a long way to go and anything can change in a split second. I really do feel scared everyday still and haven't actually quite believed I am having a baby. Like I put in my previous post I didn't have any symptoms during my two week wait and don't even now!! Which makes the battle with my mind harder. Good luck to everyone single one of you. I really hope it does work out for others. Keep faith and have hope. Xxx

Thank you so much! I am happy that I have put you at ease. I kept putting pressure on myself and would think why am I not feeling any different! I bad heart burn very early on but that all stopped. Having a pregnancy through ivf really puts you under pressure and I just want everything to be ok! So we panic and feel stressed! I have my midwife appointment this Thursday so hoping I can have my 12 week scan booked soon! How many weeks do you think you are x

Did they book that for you with the midwife or did you have to book it yourself?

Yeah so true, my husband says I’m torturing myself but can’t find a way to relax and not question every tiny thing!

I am 7 weeks tomorrow so on scan I’ll be 7 weeks + 1 day. I think! How about you? Hey it was amazing to hear the heart beating ❤️ Xxx

It was so amazing to hear the heartbeat! So I booked an appointment with my GP to let them know I am pregnant. They referred me to my local hospital and the midwife appointment came through the post last week. I have been told that the 12 month scan will be booked that day! My scan said I was 8 weeks and 6 days! So your not far behind x

It’s such a relief isn’t it. My daughter had her scan yesterday and you are always terrified. Hope you feel easier now you’ve seen your little heartbeat. Congratulations. When are you due xx

It's such a mind game! Every day you wonder is everything ok! I am glad your daughters scan went well. We are due the 12th December! It really will be the best Christmas present ever xx

Congratulations - it's so lovely to hear some good news. Must have been amazing to see and hear your little one. How far along are you? My scan is on 23rd when I'll be 8 weeks but I'm wondering if it's worth paying to have one sooner just to put my mind at rest. Wishing you the best for the rest of your pregnancy. Xx

Hey hun! Yeah I am only 8 weeks and 6 days. My clinic scan exactly 4 weeks after hour bfp and not any sooner! In a way it was a longer wait but I feel happier to know that everything is ok. X

I am Hun!! We have the same due date lol. Have you got your 12 week scan booked? Did you hey a little picture of your baby? Mine was growing at 21mm hopefully it contuines to grow nicely. I am on Prednisone so was scared that it may not grow properly x

That's great we are due the same day 🙂. I'm waiting for a call from my midwife this week regarding my 12 week scan. Fingers crossed both our babies will continue to thrive. I didn't get a picture from my scan as I didn't take any money to the EPU with me. I was 100% sure they was gonna be giving me bad news. If all is still good at my 12 week scan I'll have copies of the scan picture EVERYWHERE!!!! X

Oh no!! My clinic didn't even charge for a copy of the scan! We pay so much for ivf they should give the picture for free!! Lol. We can be buddies lol. I hope the pregnancy contuines to thrive too. Xx

My clinic was abroad so I went to the local NHS Hospital for the scan. Maybe I will be able to get a copy, I don't know. Xx

Yeh think so... I have a pain in my left nipple when I cough, sneeze or bend down!! Hurts. And I had a sharp pain earlier on my lower abdomen, lasted a second but it even made my head react like if you were frightened, like a shock feeling. Hard to explain lol. So I'm hoping things are OK. I just want to skip this stage, I'm a bag of nerves 🤪😂 xx

Aww I know how you feel. When I sneezed the other day I had such a sharp pain in my womb. I don't know why! But I have had a cyst for the last 3 years and today it wasn't there so they said it may have burst. I just have fluid left over x

Congratulations!!! So happy for you! I know how you feel, you can't believe it's happening or that something won't go wrong until you have your baby in your arms. Try to enjoy the little moments and enjoy being pregnant. Wishing you all the best xxx

Thanks so much Hun! It's such a worry. I will feel even more scared when all my medication stops at 12 weeks!! Eeek. I have been told to take aspirin from today aswell. Another pill to pop lol. Hope your little girl is doing good xx

Ahhh, this is really good news, congratulations! I am 8+5 so we are pretty close date-wise. Keep me posted on your progress! Our scan was just over a week ago and I’m already wanting to hurry along the 12 week scan... In the meantime I’ve just got to trust that my body is doing what it needs to & that this little raspberry’s heart is still beating 🤞🤞Xx

I will do hun! When is your 12 week scan? I am hoping to get mine booked tommorrow!! I stop all medication in 3 weeks time so just praying my body takes over naturally!! xx

My 12 week scan is actually at 13 weeks, as they couldn’t fit me in sooner, on 7th June. The midwife kindly agreed to book me in for a reassurance scan in between, so we don’t have to wait quite so long not knowing if everything is ok... I’m booked in for that next Tuesday (9+5). 🤞🤞 Did you get given a date? Xx

Congratulations .wishing you a healthy happy pregnancy.the worry never really leaves you. I'm 26 weeks and still count everyday as a miracle. Take care of yourself and don't take on any stressful activities.
