First of all I would like to thank everyone for their kind messages after our 4th IVF failed. It meant a lot. So we saw consultant who seems just as puzzled as us. After 4 rounds of treatment just doesn't seem to work. She says I respond really well to treatment and having 100% fertilisation she isn't quite sure what going on. She did say things seem to fall apart after 3 days after fertilisation and embryos seem to decline in quality. She has asked us to do a chromosome test on both me and hubby to see if there is something in our DNA which is causing fragmentation. I have also mentioned NKiller cells test but consultant said to see what chromosomes results will be before this is done. When I had ectopic a histology report was done and all was fine. So hoping this won't be a issue. It's just so hard not having a reason to why I can't get pregnant again. Consultant reassured me that I could still get pregnant naturally as the egg and sperm are meeting and fertilising. I have asked if I could try IUI again as this was when I got pregnant with my twins, so I think this will be next step, I have seen GP to refer me back to Gynae to check to see if there is something going on which the IVF clinic haven't picked up. But i feel this may take a while, but I need to feel as if I'm still in control and doing something... I'm not giving up yet! Love to you all 😘 Xx

Update after 4th IVF failure!
Hey hun I am sorry it hasn't worked out for you. Just to let you know I had my NK cells tests and it showed I had high NK cells. I was then put on Prednisone for my 3rd ivf and it worked!! Currently 8 weeks. I self referred myself to Warwick and coventry hospital. All you have to do is call them up when you have a peak ovulation. They charge £540 and this includes two tests. The team are fantastic there. Good luck xx
Congratulations to you thats wonderful. Yes i think i will have the NKiller test done for peace of mind if nothing else. It cost same as the chromosome tests then. Just feel such a failure at moment. Everything hard work. But im not ready to give up yet. Thank you for replying. All the best with your pregnancy xxx
Please don't feel like a failure, it's such a hard thing to keep going through ivf. You feel so alone and everyone around you is getting pregnant so quickly. But I honestly feel like if I hadn't gone through this I would be a totally different person. I am so thankful for this journey. It's changed my Outlook on life. Don't give up, the next cycle may be the one for you!! I also had the scratch done this cycle xx
I just feel i have no answers just trying everything, to rule out possibilities. I have had the scratch aswell, to help implantation. Xx
Sorry to jump in. the prednisolone that they gave you, when did they start you? Is after egg collection? Thanks
Hey hun! Don't apologise we're all here to help! I started 4 tablets(20mg) right after transfer. Have you been told to take them to? X
Both time I did my ivf cycle I was taking it (20mg). I got 2 auto immune diseases and severe endometriosis. I thought they start the treatment just after egg collection 🤔
Did you have yours after egg collection? I was very worried that my body wouldn't have time.to adjust to medication if it was after transfer but it seemed to be ok. Have you had your nk cells testsed? X
No, I did not have it tested because I have 2 auto-immune diseases I was given it. They told me to start 2 days before egg transfer. First cycle of ivf, the nurse forgot to give me the prednisolone, so when I had my transfer they gave me Bcos I asked them. Second cycle i took it on the same day of transfer again Bcos I had a 3 day transfer. I was thinking about intralipid infusion, if I can ask for it when I do my third cycle.
Hi Helenlou, sorry to hear that it hasn’t worked. We had only 50% fertilisation but our embryos also have gone worse after day 3. (NHS IVF).When we went to a private clinic, the consultant told us that this usually indicate problem with DNA fragmentation in the sperm and recommended doing the test to check and do ICSI with IMSI which would help to select the best sperm. We didn’t have a chance to try it as my husband got ill (which then explained why his sperm is of bad quality) so our priorities changed. I think your consultant is right and might get some answers from the test. Wishing you all the best x
