Bleeding after D&C

I had to have my baby removed last Tuesday after a missed miscarriage but I have been having backache and bleeding on and off. I feel drained headaches too. Just wondered how long will this last for? I was hoping it would be over now it's been a horrible time since finding out. Anyone else going through this or been through this? How long have you bled for? Mine isn't too heavy it's just scatty and uncomfortable too. Thanks x

Hi lovely, I had all the same symptoms after my D&C. I did my best to drink plenty water and take paracetamol for my headaches and back pain. I found it lessened after a week or so as I guess our hormones start to settle a little more? As for back pain it’s never fully disappeared for me and the doctor gave me co-codamol that I only use when it’s really bad, he thinks it muscle pain 🤔. Hope you feel better soon as it will help where your head is , massive hugs 💕 xx

Everyone is different but bleeding after a D & C is common and should settle but obviously if it gets worrying then speak to your clinic, they will be able to reassure you and check you over! Look after yourself.xx
