Flare protocol??

Hi ladies I've just been for consultation and told I would be a flare protocol. It's left me confused as I haven't heard of it before so don't really know the difference of what that is. Has anyone else been on this protocol and can give me any further information on it? Thanks in advance xx

I’m on the antagonist flare protocol , it’s been great so far felt it went in quick !! And the injections I have are pre-made pens so a lot less hassle than most . I started last Sunday on Gonal F and have had scans every 2-3 days to check progress back Wednesday again with view to EC on Friday 🤞🏼🤞🏼 my follicles are all about 12-14 just now . Glad it all went well today for u x

Hi been told im getting flare (which makes sense my amh is 1.7pmol) but when i asked nurse she said start day 21. Confusing as this is usually for.long protocols. What day did u start?

I'm starting the flare protocol in a few weeks for the first time too. They chose it for me (as opposed to the long protocol) because my AMH was 8, the very bottom of normal for my age. Its supposed to be good for low AMH or older ladies. Good luck to you !

Yes I started day 21 on progesterone tablets, then after 10 days of that you have a period about 3 days after you stop. Another 2 days later and you get a prostap injection and then 2 days after that you start the stims. I stimmed for 10 days each time but thats different for each individual. Best of luck to you x

Oh thanks i was sure the nurse must have given me wrong info and misheard me. So at least now i know what she meant and your timeline helps me estimate when i'd be due (optimistic like but as my first go so think denial/blind optimism standard). How's your optimism? Oh i wish you lots and lots of luck. My AMH is 1.7 so dont feel to bad and age isn't on my side for quality prediction either but you never know
