Has anyone said for ivf treatment and can give me some insight into numbers if round one is unsuccessful how much another round costs etc? I now depends on frozen eggs etc x
Paying for ivf?: Has anyone said for... - Fertility Network UK
Paying for ivf?
We went private at an Nhs clinic so was cheaper than the norm I think. just under 4K including high dose meds. That was the cost for a fresh cycle. We didn’t have any to freeze sadly but a fet cycle was just over 1k so much less x
We are currently paying private in Glasgow it’s roughly £4500 including meds the IVF was £3450 and he told us it’s anything between £500-£1000 for meds .
They do have a leaflet for an Access fertility programme they don’t promote it but the leaflets are there for u too look up on ur own it gives u a few cycles with money back if u don deliver a baby (there is terms and age limits n stuff ) we have opted to just try it once and see how it goes !!
As for another cycle it will depend if it’s another fill cycle as sometimes u can get enough to freeze which would just be paying for a transfer next time which is a lot less expensive . Hope this helps x
Hi LCB
Can I ask what clinic you were quoted that from? Was it GRI? We are looking at options in Glasgow. Had 2 NHS cycles at GRI. Been to GCRM open night recently x
I’m at the GCRM in Glasgow I’m having long protocol IVF for unexplained 2nd fertility problems x
That's really reasonable especially based on the price list I have. We're actually looking at access fertility at GCRM. We are defo going to see them next month. Thanks hope it works out for you x
Yeah we have to pay £3450 on Monday and then we pay the drugs seperate when the nurse orders them and he’s told me to expect anything between £500-£1000 I was luck and had a lot of tests on the NHS so only had to pay for the blood tests here and they accepted all my results which I had got from my doctor . Hope this helps good luck x
Can I ask what tests? I've had 2 cycles at GRI plus tests done at the recurrent mc clinic so hoping they accept all these xx
I’ve had HSG , AMH levels , scans , semen for OH and they took it all on board x
Thanks how current where your results? I've had all these. Had 2 cycles before on the long protocol. I respond well just can't seem to get past the 1st scan at 8 weeks xx
My HSG was about 18months ago , AMH levels last April and scans n stuff just in between !
It’s such a hard journey emotionally eh hopefully it’s 3rd time lucky for u x
In London at my clinic it costs around £4000 for the IVF then £1000 for meds, and £600 for blastocyst culture, and then you might have to pay for extras like more meds on top. Frozen is much cheaper, I think about £2500 XX
i’m doing a frozen round in london, and it’s approx £4500, that includes medication, scratch & 3D womb scan
In total my private fresh ivf cycle at a London clinic was £6,500, that included meds, blood tests, sperm freezing costs (my husband works away for 2 weeks each month) and blastocyst culture and I had none to freeze at the end of it. I found that the nurses were telling me to have blood tests but weren't forthcoming about the costs and it was up to me to ask for costs. Probably be an idea to find out exactly what is covered in the ivf fees and whether there is anything else you are likely to need. In relation to the meds you can shop around to find the cheapest place xx
Hi, we are thinking of doing it in a private clinic in London and have been quoted just under £9k (gulp) and this doesn’t include any freezing x
We've paid c. £6k for ICSI using short protocol in NW
This is all very cheap for fresh rounds. We are in Surrey and it’s about 10k for a fresh round (icsi which is more expensive). Was told an fet would be about £1500 but not sure if that’s medicated or natural
£3800 for Ivf with meds on top approx 600-1000, then icsi £1100 if needed x
We were told that our best chance would be IVF but we’d have to pay for it, there’s no way we’re ever going to have that kind of money 😢 Not until we’re much too old anyway
We live in Bath and have had 1x long protocol fresh icsi which was around £6000. 1x long protocol fresh icsi with sperm retrieval was around £8000. Just started a medicated frozen round £1600. Hopefully our last 🤞, as we can't afford to go again sadly. Xx
Which clinic did you go to? Xx
The Bath Fertility Clinic xxx
We are also with this clinic! We live in Weston super mare! Have everything crossed for you! Xxx
Did you do one of the access schemes? Xx
No we couldn't afford it at the time. X
HI,
Me and my husband are on a IVF fertility plan which includes 3 cycles of IVF, all medication paid for and we have been paired with a top london clinic. They are not just bases in London and we pay monthly. (Only way we could afford it). They are called Assured Fertility. if you need more info please message me (i'm not sure if i should have mentioned there name in post)
Good Luck on your journey xx
Hi Jade, we have just signed up to the assured Fertility scheme too. How are you finding them so far? Xx
They were excellent and quick to get us booked in for pre-assessments etc. The only thing was the home blood test at beginning of your cycle. They want so much blood from the lancet and your little finger, my AMH came back a little lower than previous tests and our clinic we were paired with repeated this for accuracy so dont stress! xx The girls on the phone are so helpful and knowledgeable, your in good hands x
My private cycle cost around £6000 including meds and that was in Leeds it worked 1st time for me xx
Hiya
I’m on my 2nd round of IVF it came to around £5k for us, that’s with the endo scratch and includes consultations embryo glue and medication, the medication was the more expensive part. I’m just praying it works as it’s £5k down the drain otherwise, good luck with yours xx
