Hi everyone.. im new in here.. first IVF and had EC yesterday.. 14 eggs collected and 8 fertilized through IVF.. is this a good number?

Thank u so much! Been worried about nunbers since the embryologist called this morning, the bloat and soreness isnt helping things..

How far along are you in your journey?

The bloat will go down in a couple of days. Make sure you rest. I am on my 2WW, only a few days left xx

Yes im trying to be.. my clinic only update me today and then on day 5 the morning of ET...little frustrsting as i was under the impression id get more info from them on how the eggs are progressing

I agree, a great number! Also I think no news is good news! I think they'd call if there were any issues. We had 10 eggs collected, 9 were suitable, 5 fertilised and 4 blastos. I had ET with two on Sunday and two are in the freezer. Sending lots of luck!

I wish my clinic would transfer 2 but they have a silly one transfer protocol in women under 40 unless the embryos are not a great quality!

Iv asked several times but they keep reassurivg me that 1 is better!

I had 9 eggs collected, 6 fertilised and 3 made it to day 5. One transferred and two Frosties. Currently 7 weeks pregnant so your numbers seem very good to me. We also weren't given the option of one or two transfer but we had already made the decision to ask for one unless medically advised to go for two. I was relieved that choice was taken out of my hands though. If they opt for one, they think you have a strong enough chance. Best of luck X

Yes this is my first cycle but had to pay privately so I'm so thankful it worked as probably couldn't afford another. Just praying he/she continues to grow as planned x

Hi 👋 this was exactly the same as me; 14 collected, 8 fertilised on day two, by day 3 we had 5 left and they all reached blastocyst. Clinic said they were great results xx

No my fresh cycle was in 2016. I’ve done 3 twws since and will be doing a 4th in the next two weeks... I have two frosties left. Ps ET was and always is, fine. A little uncomfortable and you have to have a full bladder but it’s a very magical experience xx
