TCRF procedure

Has anyone experienced a partial removal of their fibroid via TCRF before ivf treatment? I'm trying to research all options x

Hi ICSIBaby86. Yes, I've seen this done, where they laser/shave off the protruding part of a fibroid inside the womb. Effective for a short term solution, but the fibroid often grows back. At least it can be done via the cervix and doesn't require an abdominal operation. Good luck if you decide to do this. Diane

I have just had this done and my consultant removed the entire thing. He doesn’t think there is much chance of it coming back. So less invasive and shorter recovery time which means we can start trying again after next cycle.

Thank you tiffs, after seeing my gynae he said I shouldn’t have it done because it can scar my uterus 😩 I’m getting so much conflicting advice off my drs ! Xxx

It can scar you depends on how big it is, and how good your consultant is!
