Clomid when ovulating

Hi everyone, I'm hoping to pick your collective brains. I've just been to see the consultant to discuss our next NHS cycle which isn't until June 😔 he was great and has agreed to try something new for our next cycle. In the meantime he has prescribed me clomid. I am to take it from cd2-cd8 (I understand it's normally taken cd2-6) and then I will have two trigger shots later in my cycle (not sure of days as realise I can't read his handwriting!) I will be scanned before then though. I think the idea is to lengthen the first half of my cycle as I have problems with short luteal phase and thin lining.

Has anyone else tried this or something similar? Hoping for my miracle 🤞
