Hi I'm new to this, I'm Only at the start of my journey and it feels like forever already ☹️

I Had my first appointment in may with my doctor then had referral to the hospital for tests.. all tests done turns out i have 1 blocked tube, partner is fine! and have had the go ahead from the consultants for ivf after trying for 2 years.

Both me and my partner Had final bloods done 1st Dec and was told we would hear from our chosen clinic.. not heard anything yet.. do I phone them? or be patient and keep waiting?

Thanks 😊 Xx

Hi Bailey. I'm probably only going to say what you've been thinking. It could take a couple of weeks longer because of the Christmas period. I'm also waiting on an ivf referral and the temptation to phone the clinic is sooooo strong. The logical part of me is winning over at the moment and I keep telling myself to just hold out until January 2nd. Whether I make that far or not is another matter! But at the moment I know that's what I should be doing. I hope you get your letter before the end of the year and I wish you every luck with your journey xx

Hi Bailey, glad you have joined us.

If you would like to, I would give them a ring. It won't do any harm and you can put your mind at rest to check your referral arrived etc.

Wishing you lots of luck and peace over Christmas xx

I agree with coracle. There’s no harm in ringing and clinics will be used to anxious people x

Hey, welcome to the forum! I normally would of said wait a few weeks as it could be delayed with Christmas however after miscommunication with my clinic last week I would say give them a ring if anything it gives you a little peace of mind rather than wondering what’s happened. Wishing you lots of luck xx

I take back my advice, my clinic hadn't received my referral. Definitely phone! Xx

Give them a ring! At least they can reassure you that they have your referral, in sure they won't mind and it's reassurance for you!!xx
