Reflexology following positive result.

I’ve been having reflexology for about 2 Years now of our TTC journey and just wondering if anyone else has had it after they got a positive test result. I’ve read up and I know it can’t effect the baby or cause a miscarriage but just wanted to see if anyone else had had it since getting a positive result x

Hi

I had reflexology before my transfer but was advised not to have until after 12 weeks as it can cause miscarriage. Ther isn’t any research on this but I’m not risking it xxx

Assuming you asked this because you're pregnant - Congratulation! I guess reflexology is the same as acupuncture and chiropractic. It was named chiropractic clinic so I'll use the same - not sure if its same as acupuncture as well - can't tell the difference from whatever I read online about it before going there. I did have a session of chiropractic for getting pregnant sort of a thing a couple of months back but it didn't work. It did feel good though and the massage was a serious stressbuster for sure especially to help me get over the CP loss but wasn't any help for conceiving. Considering it did help me relax there is a good chance you can go for reflexology even if you're pregnant. Just tell them you're pregnant and ask them if there's something for the pregnant ladies... I've heard women go for some acupuncture massage therapy while in their late pregnancy.

Yes I had my positive result yesterday thank you! Yes I’ve been having it with the same lady for about 2 Years now. So she knows that we’re now pregnant. I had reflexology this evening so she avoided the areas of my uterus and ovaries. I was just wondering had anyone else had this whilst being pregnant x

Sadly, I haven't been able to hold onto a pregnancy yet. Just told you whatever little experience with reflexology or similar stuff I had (both over sessions and internet digging) hoping the information will help you decide better. :) Do share your recommendation and reviews about it though - will actualize that when I get pregnant. 1st hand experienced always help. Take good care of yourself and the baby-bean. :D

Thank you!! This is the first time I’ve been pregnant, it’s never happened for us before so I’m praying and hoping I can keep it safe! Take care x

When it finally happened - everything will be alright don't worry. :) Your days of suffering are over. I'll pass on a tip I found from one of the videos about FET - stay happy and avoid thinking about the odds. The hormones stability (all of them and not just the reproductive hormones) supports pregnancy and even emotional stress kind of upsets the balance.

I had reflexology before both of my last two transfers. Both have thankfully been successful. With my first I stopped just before transfer and only started again when we were going for the second but my reflexologist said that is it safe to come back after I’m 12 weeks as I would help with the constant back pain I was in from 5 months until the baby was born. I may consider it if it happens again but I’m only 5 weeks at the mo.

Congratulations

Thanks for the reply! I think I’m about 5 weeks and I had a session last night. She just didn’t touch the areas of my uterus or ovaries! Congratulations to you too! X
