12 week scan 💕

Today we had a 12 week scan (private - NHS one is next week) I was so nervous beforehand because my symptoms have dropped off lots over the last week and I’ve felt almost normal during the days at least. I also had sharp pains all day a couple of weeks ago which added to my worry. The scan showed our little twinnies moving about, pointing in different directions. All is well. Measuring 12+4 (should be 12 exactly). We got a video of the scan too. It’s a huge relief and we feel very lucky. I hope to be able to relax a little bit now and am glad to not have had to take the meds today. Thank you all for all your support. xxxxx

I have my 12 week scan tomorrow (NHS one) although I'll be 12+4. I'm so nervous, still vomiting daily but I don't think the nerves will ever go away. Xxx

Good luck with your scan tomorrow! My NHS one was meant to be today but they moved it back cos it’s twins and i couldn’t wait til the 8/12!

Sorry to hear you’re still sick. I still get nauseous and sometimes sick from this time every day. I hope yours passes soon now your into trimester 2 xx

I remember you saying they had moved your scan date. It's such a long time to wait, I would have booked private too!

My sickness is definitely easing, I have days where I'm not sick too much and days where it's all day but considering it was all day everyday for weeks I definitely feel better 🙂

I've been getting some pains again, on and off for the last few days. It's more uncomfortable than painful actually, I'm assuming or at least hoping it's just some stretching.

That's great news and puts me to relief too, I am 12 weeks in 2 days and have been feeling sharp pains on the upper part of my tummy almost to the extent I was in tears... at times I too don't feel much which causes a lot of worries for me too.

My next scan is still a week away... and this is the NT scan, is this the one you had?

Thank you! I think they’re likely to be stretching pains it seems and totally normal. Try not to worry - I know that’s far easier said than done!

NT? Mine was a private scan at Window to the Womb. My NHS dating scan is on 8 Dec. Good luck with yours! You’ll see yours wiggling around too xx

Im good thanks! All booked up for dilation, hysterscopy and biopsies in Athens, fly out on 24th Jan, feels like an age but Im sure it will soon pass.xx

I have my 12 weeks scan next week, I can't wait although the worry never stops. I had two bleeds 8/9 weeks which was scary but i got to have scans and everything was ok. My symptoms se me to be dropping off a bit too which worries me 🙈

I also had bleeding twice - weeks 6 and 7 and had early scans. It’s quite common. And it’s common for symptoms to drop off now because the placenta will be in place and doing more of the work. Try not to worry too much - though I know that’s a big ask. I’m sure all will be fine xxx

Bless you all xx! Even for a normal pregnant like me, I always got nervous for the 1st scan at 12wks. We only feel reassured 'this is real' until we can hear our little one's heart-beat and see them for the first time.

12 wk is a big milestone. Such a relief!
