Disheartened

Despite having many more follicles this time only 5 eggs were retrieved, initially I felt crushed then managed to boost myself up again when 4 fertilised. However found out today that only one is developing normally. Feel hopeless and empty. We are going to wait til day 5 to see what happens having had 2 previous day 3 and 1 day 2 all unsuccessful. Any stories of hope from similar circumstances would be much appreciated.xx

Hi. We only had 2 eggs collected as only 2 follicles grew (stupid AMH!). Both made it to day 5 then one stopped growing.

The remaining one was implanted and I am currently 16 weeks pregnant- heard the heartbeat on Monday which was amazing. So it does only take one (luckily as that's all we had!)

Hey I’m in a very similar position to you but a couple of days behind . I had the call today to say 4 out of 7 fertilised . Feel so worried as I lost quite a few last time after day three . Like the other ladies say it only takes one . Try to keep telling yourself that . When is your day five ? Good luck and hope you keep positive xxx

I know, keep trying to remind myself of that but so scared we won’t even get to a transfer. Day 5 is Saturday. When will you get more news? Thank you, same wishes back at you xx
